I've not seen you around here much before. You might want to start checking up your historical references deeper than a couple sentences into the first paragraph. History isn't as simple as you'd like it to be.

I know. Clearly hitler played both ideals sides... but his governmental control policies clear support socialism....he had other aspects that scream right wing..

I didn't imply or overtly state that they weren't required, however a vaccine wouldn't be immediately necessary for someone who recently got over the illness due to having antibody's.

You're being oddly hostile. All I asked was if there was a specific reason your doctor advised you against it. At this point I've lost interest, forget I asked.

I wonder what the percentage is of people who are opposed to the flu shot. It seems like it’s the same people. Or at least the people I know personally that are opposed to the Covid vaccine are also opposed to the flu shot.

It really isnt unexpected though...this is your government at work and at the time of highest need, and nothing but polictical BS. I will throw in that even in good times and non crisis they suck...no accountability is PolySci 101...well at leeat decades ago.

I just really don’t know what I think of all this. I’ve said many times that I got vaccinated because the red women is high risk. I figure every decision has consequences and each situation is different so everyone should do their own research and be prepared to live with their decision. Would I take the vaccine under different conditions? I just don’t know

I totally get it, and I think vaccination is absolutely appropriate for a large subset of the population. A high-risk family member would be a very reasonable consideration, IMO.

If it's any consolation, I'm not too proud to admit that we docs don't even really know what's always right in this unique situation. I base my medical advice on time-proven evidence, and there just isn't any for several of the questions that have arisen in the past year and a half.

I wasn't being hostile at all. You just assumed there was some special reason for him to not recommend the jab.

My wife and I both spoke to our doctor about the vaccine. She said neither of us need it. I asked her if she is getting it and she flat out said neither her nor anyone in her family has or will get it. Her husband just happens to work for a pharmaceutical company. So I am listening to my doctor.
