what are they afraid of?

Nevada Dems Nix Fox Debate - Politico.com

oh, wait. They're afraid Ann Coulter will show up and start eating them. Or maybe they're afraid the softball questions Alan Colmes/Ellis Hennican/Bob Beckel will throw at them won't be soft enough.

Could they be afraid that Sean Hannity will wield the fabled Sword of Damocles over their heads?

Maybe they're afraid that Geraldo Rivera will go digging into their abandoned basements...

I suppose if the GOP bowed out of debates sponsored by CNN the rhetoric wouldn't be spun nearly as positively.

Makes me glad I'm not a democrat. having to wear Depends and actively seeking the next personal affront aren't my cup of tea.

Oh has 1/2 news hour put The daily show under yet what a joke.:post-4-1090547912:

I see you haven't bothered to learn proper grammar.

I also should have expected the FNC=Satan blathering.

What duhvol's comment really shows me is that liberals are afraid to step outside their comfort zone. They're afraid to go into a perceived hostile environment with the intent of changing people's minds.

Thanks for the insight, you prove beyond all shadow of a doubt that liberals are cowards.

it's spelled "wipe"

and you're right, the democrats don't want to play by the rules. they'd much rather have the deck stacked heavily in their favor.

i seem to remember a certain republican refusing to debate a certain democrat last year. a saying about a pot and a kettle comes to mind.

It's probably because we don't pray enough to our father in heaven about how to kill Muslims.

Funny, I remember the Fuhrer running all over the country holding his "town hall" meetings in front of hand picked audiences, answering hand picked questions. No deck stacking there huh?

Is Fox News necessarily so hardcore right wing or is it just so out of the norm to see people on the air that are conservative that it is a shock to the system? This is an honest question.

I think that is a fair assessment, though Fox can be over the top at times. There is little doubt in my mind that the majority of television media outlets present a liberal bias, but are so blinded by their "education" that they really believe they represent the mainstream. Bernie Goldberg presented a clear arguement for that point of view. He was blackballed, but I found no logical response to his points.

I would think while they are right-leaning it stands out in comparison to left leaning cable networks such as CNN or MSNBC.

If FNC is classified as a far-right propaganda machine then the following would have to be classified as far-left propaganda machines:

CNN
MSNBC
New York Times
LA Times
NBC (at times)

you two further illustrate my point. I said nothing about religion (personally speaking, I'm agnostic) yet the two of you reflexively bring up religion when criticizing the right.

the reason why the dems are backing out isn't because they themselves don't like FNC. It's because of the pressure being put on them by moveon.org, dailykos, etc. Two organizations that sound a lot like OWB and emainvol here.

no sir, i do not "further illustrate" your point. note the sarcasm in my statement. the fact that you make the generalization that all liberals are cowards, only proves that you, like a lot of conservatives, would rather group myself and the rest of the liberals together, rather than admit that maybe all liberals aren't idiotic, spineless hippies.

you see how i did that without generalizing?

Don't blame me, blame your President. He's the one that brings God into everything. Shoot, he even talks to Jesus and gets responses. You support Bush, you support his beliefs. Therefore, you're open game for such comments.

they're not, unless they give in to pressure from dailykos and moveon.org. which has happened in this case.

when have I ever declared a blind support for W? you won't find a single post anywhere where I've said I support him and his beliefs.

and this isn't about Bush, so stop trying to steer the debate in that direction. This is about democrats refusing to appear at a FNC sponsored debate because they're scared they'll lose the support of their more radical base.

that's fine, but the next time you want to make the general statement that "liberals are cowards" remember what you are saying.
