DOGE Enters FBI Headquarters To Obtain Names Of 5,000 Agents Who Worked Jan. 6 Cases | ZeroHedge

Update (1615ET): DOGE is at it again - kicking down the doors of FBI headquarters to obtain the names of roughly 5,000 agents who worked on Jan. 6 cases. This comes after the agency withheld specifics on those involved, such as their names.

Officials working for Elon Musk's DOGE were spotted by CNN entering FBI headquarters on Tuesday to collect the information.

I am comfortable saying Musk has a genius to him, but the genius? For the record:

Space X = legit awesome, and he deserves credit for being a driving force
Starlink = legit awesome
Neuralink = seems very promising

Tesla = didn't found it, just bought it, deserves credit for gigafactory concept.

Paypal = his company was meant to be an online banking company, but it merged with Confinity which was already doing email payments and then became the online payments company. He wanted to build everything on Microsoft and wouldn't acquiesce so he was ousted. Everybody else was right, it seems. Paypal took off after they kicked him out.
Hyperloop
= he published a white paper on a 100-year-old idea
OpenAI = can't tell he did anything besides funding and then leaving to compete with them.

Twitter = so far it's a lot worse since he bought it.

He's a tech geek with a bunch of money and he's funding and involving himself with interesting projects, but if we're being honest, none of us know how much credit he should get, beyond the funding.
I think it's fair to compare Musk and Edison. Both intelligent, strong businessmen good at identifying and launching promising technologies.

Oh, no. This has been building for years, and is getting progressively worse. There are nutjobs everywhere with extreme tribalism off the charts. I'm not putting the blame on anyone in particular. It's our current society.

Ignoring the bait, btw. ;)
Tribalism is a term that is extremely popular on this board. You are EXTREMELY guilty of it yourself on several fronts....

What bait?

General Neyland's 7 Maxims

1. The team that makes the fewest mistakes will win.

2. Play for and make the breaks and when one comes your way - SCORE.

3. If at first the game - or the breaks - go against you, don't let up... put on more steam.

4. Protect our kickers, our QB, our lead and our ball game.

5. Ball, oskie, cover, block, cut and slice, pursue and gang tackle... for this is the WINNING EDGE.

6. Press the kicking game. Here is where the breaks are made.

7. Carry the fight to our opponent and keep it there for 60 minutes

I disagree. While @gcbvol certainly leans liberal, IMO, I definitely don't consider him to be one of the looney leftists on this board. I think he's generally very reasonable when discussing most topics, even when we disagree. I enjoy discussions with him.

If you think that was his only involvement with the development of Tesla, I suggest you do a little reading.

And, I wish someone would "kick me out" of my job for $180 million.

TBH, though, his work on rocket technology and satellites alone puts him at the top of our era's inventors/tech developers.

There are many posters here that are WAY further left than he is.
Personally I find @gcbvol consistent. We usually disagree, but his views aren’t irrationally driven out of his hatred for Trump. Other posters, not so much. They hate Trump so bad that they lose the ability to reach reasonable conclusions whenever Trump is directly or indirectly associated with the topic being discussed.

a rational or irrational hatred of a single politician isn't indicative of anyone's political orientation. There are things Trump does that make Chomsky grin ear to ear in private

Yeah, it'd be great, but extremely difficult to argue he's a genius because of what happened at Paypal, is the point.

I know he did a lot at Tesla, but as far as innovation, what else has he done? He didn't found the company. He didn't invent the concept of an electric car. I forgot to mention the infrastructure with his supercharger network. But it's not like he's building EV's better than anybody else. He's just made the most money. Sure, give him credit for taking on a 1/2 a billion-dollar DOE loan (thanks Obama). He deserves credit for that because it saved the company, but IDK if that belongs in a convo about genius.
