I think smaller bills are coming down the pipe. Preferably single issue bills. They should be digestible and concise enough for a decently intelligent person to understand.I imagine most of these crazy expenditures Musk is exposing was pork put into Congressional bills and was signed into law by a President, probably Biden. That's how the system works. That's how Congress folks bring home the bacon. My question is this: once it's gone through all of that and signed into law, can Musk or even Trump "veto it" at this point? It can't be that easy to negate something passed into law
Terraforming sounds phkn awesome. Terraforming planets in the same fashion Weyland-Yutani corp did in Aliens.i don't think he was ever serious about living on mars. Unless we give it a magnetosphere and drag Pluto into its orbit to stabilize the planet its always going to be a hellscape worse than Antarctica in a winter storm
without a magnetosphere we're cooked alive. with a magnetosphere, everything else done to make the planet habitable will make it a magmatic hellscape with fetid toxic oceans without a suitably large enough body in orbit to stabilize the planetI believe the idea is that we could create an atmosphere over the next 500 years, and then live there.
Yeah, as was mentioned, underground is only viable solution. Mars could only really be a type of port if/when we're capable of interstellar travel.without a magnetosphere we're cooked alive. with a magnetosphere, everything else done to make the planet habitable will make it a magmatic hellscape with fetid toxic oceans without a suitably large enough body in orbit to stabilize the planet
anytime anyone attaches anything that isn't actually a Nazi action to Nazi's, ie the "neo nazi salute", minimizes what the Nazis actually did. it is not good precedence to minimize what those awful people actually did. tying to some Asperger's awkward AF wave is just ridiculous on face value.Huh?
ever since Neil Degrasse Tyson pointed it out, I can never see past the flaw in the thinking that terra forming a distant world will save humanity.Terraforming sounds phkn awesome. Terraforming planets in the same fashion Weyland-Yutani corp did in Aliens.
Well of course buddy but it is cool to think about. If the feat could be accomplished in the future, it most likely won't save humanity but would rather be for expansion purposes. Technology is obviously no where close to an achievement like that. Hell, I have to put a frozen waffle in my toaster twice for the desired amount of crispiness on level 2.ever since Neil Degrasse Tyson pointed it out, I can never see past the flaw in the thinking that terra forming a distant world will save humanity.
the idea is that we can take some foreign object, that doesn't have the same magnetosphere, mass, gravity, doesn't have the same orbit and sunlight, doesn't have the same lunar body, doesn't have water, an atmosphere, doesn't have access to any type of energy source we will be able to use; and turn it into an earth-lite is laughable considering that we apparently couldn't do the same "terra forming" to save earth.
we are going to turn Titan into Terra, but we can't turn Terra into Terra?

Right. The liberals are doing such a bang-up job trying to moderate Earth's temperature by 1-degree over about 50 years at a cost of trillions of dollars. I'm sure they'll pull off the creation of a livable atmosphere from scratch.I believe the idea is that we could create an atmosphere over the next 500 years, and then live there.

the Nazis weren't a cartoon/meme. they won't be one if they come back. confusing the narrative on what actual Nazi's are is not helpful in any way.
besides its all just political bs.
Local parents and school districts should decide. Some of the news and videos we’ve seen on local education departments and policies are pathetic, and ooze corruption…so much so the fbi felt the need to spy on the parents allegedly.Ok. I'll give you some of it. But the federal DOE is a waste. Smaller federal everything is the ultimate goal here.
Allegedly.I know it's sci-fi, but I liked the idea Corey had in The Expanse series. Basically how the Mars citizens had built their own magnetosphere prior to trying to terraform the rest of Mars.
Saw a documentary on YouTube about the "how" it cities be done as well. Apparently the technology exists. However, the methods to power said technology do not exist yet.
Are there any?
