The huge security issues were done on your watch to which you have suggested nothing reasonable to solve the issues of fraud, waste and abuse. Some of these funds appear to used against the U.S. in a criminal way.

To another U.S. agency. Its basically a very fast initial quick audit and obvious fraud, waste and abuse can be shutdown in days not decades.

You are not crying about how they are doing things, you are crying because they are doing them.

Security and access to sensitive systems. Integrity of the current systems

The processes are in place to mitigate damage. They're only bypassed if there's a critical issue or if someone simply doesn't care about the system integrity

All of that is secondary as the system have obviously already been compromised. Your kid took the car and wrecked the whole front end, and you are worried whether your wife might scratch the bumper of the vehicle parked in the garage. Its not material, nor sane.

This is the only way to shutdown what is appears to be a large scale fraud, waste and abuse program, let alone funds that appear to be used in crimes against the U.S. itself.

This isn't about the process of allocating funds. This is about the integrity and security of the systems that tends of millions of Americans rely on.

I'm guessing more than a few on here would be quite upset if their SS check didn't get cut because of a system error

I've got news for you, nobody in the federal government actually follows the written "security protocols", except for in some very, very limited (and strictly controlled) areas like SCIFs. It's almost boilerplate to have "protocols" in place.

Stuff I deal with that is definitely not sensitive is treated as if it's nuclear access codes in our contracts and subcontracts.

EDIT: PS: I've made what got classed as "code changes" to old data systems, it was literally just changes to SQL tables and making things more efficient.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Treasury's payment system won't be touched by Elon Musk's government efficiency team, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told Fox Business on Wednesday, adding that any decisions to stop payments would be made by other agencies.

The Treasury on Tuesday said Musk's Department of Government Efficiency had been granted "read-only access" to its payment system codes but denied that this cut off any government payments including for Social Security or Medicare.

Bessent said a study was being done aimed at creating more accountability, more accuracy and more traceability to ensure money disbursed by Treasury was going where intended, but payments themselves were "not being touched."

How do you know that they aren’t following the correct processes or even more secure procedures?

Get back to us if they screw something up. But otherwise you’re sounding like chicken little

There will be no need for me to let you know. I just don't see the need for the risk. It doesn't have to be done this way but that could be said for most things Trump

I would say its pretty obvious the funds are being used not only against political opponents but further to possibly circumvent U.S. law and international law but more work needs to be done. I would suggest we let them continue to do their work so that we can get to the bottom of it all, if possible. In the meantime, the more obvious things can be shutdown.

What way would you suggest it be done? Taking into account if you give the ones your looking into time, they will hide what you're looking for.
