DeShawn Mobley

Not sure if you guys watched the Grace/Trousdale game last night but the RB for Trousdale reminded me a lot of DeShawn. His name was Keynan Harper and he was only a junior.

I'd say a lot of people missed on him, since he ended up at Kentucky.

Our defense got outran by Matt Mauck and Aaron Murray. Is he better than Alden Hill and Tom Smith? Yes, but if we bring in the runningbacks we need to win SEC championships, he would have been recruited over.

Lets remember, Dooley was basically an idiot when it came to recruiting. I would bet that CBJ would have taken Mobley

Lol, Neal runs in the high 4.3 range. He is nowhere near as fast as Neal.
Okay, and you know this how. Mobleys UGA run looked faster than any run I've seen from Neal.

Neal may be a step faster (debatable) but Mobley is definitely close and not "nowhere near".

Cody Blanc is also a 4.3 guy and Mobley ran away from him in high school on two TD runs.

Players get timed at practice every year in the offense. Neal and Hunter were always the fastest on the team.

UGA's defense is terrible too. Their secondary has Brandon Langley as a starter who got torched by Josh Smith in camps. He does not have SEC speed.

Please. Give me a break on the he doesn't have SEC speed. Not disputing Neal being fast but you are crazy saying Mobley is nowhere near as fast. Watch the UGA video. He blew by their secondary. Dumb justification saying their defense is terrible as that has nothing to do with him out running them.

He outran one player, if you call that out running and it was their safety, Corey Moore, who isn't known for his speed. He would have been recruited over here, he has good vision and is hard physical runner but he doesn't have the top end speed needed for the SEC.

Okay, you are entitled to your opinion. But, answer this. How many 69 yard TDs does Neal have against an SEC team. I'll give you Mobley is a physical runner buT don't Accept he's not fast enough for the SEC.

That is what he ran at VT. Nevertheless Mobley is fast enough to play in the SEC and he is proving it now.

By running against the worst rush defense in the SEC? Again, Aaron Murry had around a 60 yard run against us? Does have he have SEC rb speed?

He had a 53 yard run against us and a 69 yard against UGA. The last time I checked we both play in the SEC. Murray scrambled when we were in pass coverage. Mobley did it against a run defense.

I would guess 4.7. He's a capable back. More power than speed imo.
Pretty sure he's in the 4.5s. He was clocked in HS in that range. He looks faster to me now but as others are pointing out he's only done that against defenses that suck.

He's definitely a power runner but has good speed.

Where and when would Mobley have played at UT? He was not going to beat out Neal and Lane the past two seasons.

Mobley would have been another Tom Smith and Alden Hill at UT.
