Did we lose any recruits since saturday?

I think most parents would applaude in how CLk handled the situation as well.

I would. My kid would be off the team before CLK could tell him.

i agree beech there is no reason to throw fit on the sideline like that, but the team seems to be falling apart. i think i would try and keep my kid out of that kind of problem. i also agree i don't really worry to much about kiffy recruiting, but i do think he will lose some because of the actions on the field and on the sideline.

Hey Chicken Little, book it, we will have a top 5 class this year. Did you count James Green as one of the recruits that will be enrolling in January? And what kind of analysis is that?

acouple of weeks ago i would have agreed with you 100%. now i'm thinking more like top 10. also will james green make the grades you never know.

Grades were never the issue. He was flagged for his ACT score, he's retaken it and will be here in January.

Not making excuses for CLK, or the staff, but Im not sure they had much to do with Warren's decision to do what he did. And any parent with "one eye, and half sense", would have a hard time putting that on the staff.

Other than Warren's situation, Im not sure the team is falling apart. The season has had some bumps, and some where to be expected.

As a parent of 2, I would have more of a problem with CLK not doing anything in the Warren situation.

As far as recruiting, we may lose a few commits, but I don't think it will be for those reasons.

Warren didn't have the fortitude to stick it out a little longer at FSU so he could play sooner at UT. Shockingly, his work ethic sucked in Knoxville just as bad as it did in Tallahassee.

I have a very good reruiting source that is in the know with Jeff Luc. They say that he is really impressed with Auburn now, and has moved them to the top of his list over FL,FSU,GA,TN and LSU.

Looks like the Barn is getting close with another elite recruit. I guess when you keep your mouth shut and win games that goes along ways with recruits.

Wow, TNFAN72 signs up Auburn week. There is an AUfan72 on Match.com from Gadsden AL looking for dates. I doubt it is a coincidence. You might have more success if you were not Trolling rival sights pretending to be a fan.

What worries me is that Kiffin ran two good QB prospects away, one to Va. Tech I think, and one to Clemson. Then runs Morley off, and now they chew Warren out for mistakes while patting Crompton on the butt and saying good job kid. I can see Warren getting mad. He makes a mistake and gets chewed out and Crompton not. Hey get out of my face, man. Recruits are seeing this, and if they don't, it will be pointed out by other teams. I really believe if we get beat Saturday, Meline is gone. If we lose to South Carolina, three more are gone. I hope not, but I am very worried. All we need now is for the two kids that signed with Florida and changes to say they made a big mistake, or Brown saying he wished he had of went to Miami. Something like that would kill us.

Auburn fans masquerading as UT fans? What's the world coming to?

Nice try... time for bed.

I wondered how many Bammers were freaking out like this when Bama went 6-6 , the same mark as Shula had the year before, Also losing to Lousiana Monroe in Sabans first year but still had a top recruiting effort the following year. This staff will not fail recruiting, there is absolutely no proof of these guys failing, their track record only shows success. Now we may loose a player or two but we will have a Top 5 Class IMHO.

I agree 100%. A little attrition happens to every program. We might lose some, but will pick up some as well. Granted, winning has a way of stablizing things, but it is bound to happen to every school. No need for the over reactions this early into things.

i don't know i said it on acouple of posts on saturday. in the first half it looked alot like the guys on offense just gave up. jones blows up one week warren the next. doesn't really give me great confidence in kiffy. i won't even mention how bad we look on the field or how are losing record at the end of the season will contribute to our recruiting. what ever he is doing on the recruiting trail seems to work, i'm not sure what he tells these kids, but it must be great. because looking at the coaching and the product on the field there is nothing to brag about. maybe the defense.

i have said this before, i put kiffin in the same catergory as a recruiter as satan, but as a coach he is nowhere near. he was a good coordinator with great talant at usc but thats about all he's got. the coordinators before and after him did just as well or better than he did.

I mean, don't all teams lose recruits each year? Like Florida, and LSU (Nuke and JJ)?

Only one offense in the history of football has rivaled the one USC fielded in 2005. And Saban had a decent pool of talent for his 2007 team. He didn't do anything special. Acting like Kiffin is "nowhere near" the coach Saban is because of a bad four game run with a pathetic roster is ridiculous. What major contributors did Saban gain between the 2006 and 2007 season? Julio and Cody were big, definitely. But were they enough to add 6 wins? Seems like Saban needed to get his system installed in year one. He actually said during his first year with Miami that losses don't matter this season because he's building for the future.

And in other news the QBs from Utah State, Wyoming, Troy, Ohio, Minnesota, New Mexico and MTSU are playing better than ours
