"Difference is Unreal" Says Current Player

That's some bull... Thievery.

lol. I have had some time to digest it. I don't own the "T" so it isn't like I did anything more than insert that into a few stylized letters. If my Alma mater wants to use that image, it is hers to use (all I ask is a free shirt or merchandise if they use it for such).

I'm only thrashing CBJ in the context where people are comparing him to Dooley and thrashing Dooley (CDD is my all time favorite coach and I think he did an amazing job rebuilding our program even if the results could not come quickly enough to satisfy the hysterical and ultra emotional fan base).
But I do hope CBJ succeeds (I like the energy as it reminds me a little bit of Dooley's first year). I also hope/wish that CBJ has much better luck then Dooley (can't imagine anyone ever being that unlucky again).

Am I reading this wrong or did he just say Dooley is his all time favorite coach? Is this a joke?

Not at all - I could not be more serious. I don't only measure success in W-L and instead try to look at the full body of work (recruiting, running a clean program, mess that was here before CDD arrived and what the program looks like after he left, NCAA sanctions hanging in the air when he arrived, etc). CDD did everything right in my opinion with the exception of hiring Sunseri his last year. Wins did not come as quickly as people wanted but I believe nobody else would have done any better given the situation we were if after Kiffin left. So yes, I am proud to be CDD supporter all the way until the end and will always be grateful to him for how he conducted himself while he was here.

What's really unreal is the amount of people who think it's cool to let us know they want to see it on the field. That has to be the dumbest thing going on this site.

Lets hope CBJ can translate all of this good effort to wins on the field this fall LOL

A little attribution wouldn't kill anybody...

Coaches get paid to win. He didn't and never would have. The players consistently quit on him because he's not a leader. I'd say the program is not better than when he took it over.

How many wins do you want? I predict a window of 7-8 wins. Jones doesn't tend to under perform with his talent. With our current roster, I see 7 winnable games (comparing talent) and a more winnable game against Oregon than many would expect. I am not counting that as a sure fire W but is certainly not a definite L.

CBJ has been a winner at every stop and dooley is a serial loser and a epic failure as a head coach. He lost the team and this fan base, see the mizzou game.

Winning is obviously essential but to win in this conference you have to first put building blocks in place. CDD did that by recruiting a lot of good talent and he significantly closed the talent gap vs other SEC powers (last year was the first time in last 10 years I felt we had superior talent on offense to UF, UGA, and pretty much everyone else we played other than perhaps Bama). And don't forget that we were right there in most games all the way to the end, instead of getting blown out as it was the case in his first year (could have gone 9-2 if it was not for the most unfortunate Sunseri experiment).

Every step so far only includes pushover programs in the big east or worse (see what happened when CBJ played head to head against CDD who according to you was a terrible coach).
If you think that was a one off bad game for CBJ, please prove me wrong and list how many top 25 teams CBJ has beaten before he got the job at UT.

The offseason is where games are won & lost. I believe we are off to a good start from what I'm hearing. Makes me wonder what Dooley did for 3 years.

He collected 2 mil a yr and now 5 mil for sitting on his *ss
how bout those cowboys :ermm:

Agree. That could be an issue, but I am not one who thinks that game is un-winnable. I have watched a lot of football in my life, and I can't think of a game of consequence where crowd noise was the deciding factor. I think you are going to see a different Oregon team than you have seen in recent years.

Have you been sleeping under a Rock for the last 3 years??? CDD couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag. He wasn't qualified to hold even Cheek's jockstrap and he is your favorite. Are you like 10? :loco:
