Just a quick link to Erik Ainge's interview with Trent Dilfer, wherein Dilfer critiques Josh Dobbs and Riley Ferguson as quarterback prospects: Ainge Interviews ESPN’s Trent Dilfer | Tennessee Sports Radio.

Dilfer also said that Tyler Bray is the "most difficult study in this draft for me." Predictably, he says, on one hand, that Tyler is "tremendously talented" and has "arm talent" (which he described as encompassing more than velocity and accuracy) that is equivalent to the top 6-7 in the NFL. He further described Bray as a "graduate level passer at a young age," but was very concerned, based on film study, about Tyler's undisciplined play and the fact that, when the game was on the line, he was most prone to error. He specifically cited the Georgia game in that respect.

508mikey, Dilfer is an NFL analyst for ESPN and the former QB for the Ravens when they won the Super Bowl following the 2000 season. He is also intimately involved in the Elite 11 Quarterbacks camp. As he pointed out, under those circumstances, he actually has the opportunity to spend considerably more time with these quarterbacks, one of whom was Dobbs last year, than any college coach can prior to their signing letters of intent.

I can't get link to work. Can anyone give the short version of what he said about Dobbs and Ferguson?

Still couldn't get it to work. Probably blocked by my work or something. I assume he didn't come out and say it but could you tell if he thought Ferguson or Dobbs was better?

Yes and Bray won the Elite 11 QB challenge in 2009 so what does that mean?

:good!:

Bray will make a roster, probably a 2nd round pick. You cannot deny his size and arm. However his head needs to be understood. That's why NFL scouts get paid.

I'll be absolutely stunned if Bray is a second round pick. The only people that I've heard even mention Bray and the second round in the same sentence are posters on Volnation. No analysts have him going that early.

You guys are pretty tough on bray. Ask yourself if you would be the perfectly composed leader you all expect him to be, at age 19-20, with Dooley as your mentor. I rest my case.

Duke, that schizoid disconnect between arm and brain could explain why Bray only had, if memory serves me correctly, one other Division 1-A offer (i.e. San Diego State) prior to us.

I'm not being tough on him. I'm saying he wasn't mature enough to make sound decisions....on or off the field. Had nothing to do with Dooley.

WalterFootball.com: 2013 NFL Mock Draft: Fourth Round

This mock draft has Bray being picked by the Seahawks with the 123rd overall pick (Round 4) to be a clipboard holder to never be heard from again.

Said we got two good ones and they will have to fight it out. Also said he was a bit surprised to see two QBs of their caliber to go to the same place.
