Discontinued fast food items rant

Seriously..some of the best pizza I've ever had was cafeteria rectangle with sausage...one of my faves now is the Chef Boyardee pizza kits with extra sauce for dipping....Someone is missing the boat by not making a rectangle pizza and patenting it Lunchroom Style

That looks like we could all use a slice of that about right now ..... with some parmesan (stinky) cheese.

Pizza Palace is still open. I just called them. They are open right now.
I have not eaten there in about four years, but I have always had a good meal there.
BTW, I do not live in Knoxville, if I lived there I would eat there more often

Still missing the old style of pies from MacDonalds (circa 80s). Also they got rid of cherry pies. Krystal’s pies are basically the type MacDonalds used to serve.

The strawberries and cream pie they have in spring and summer is pretty good. I wish they'd bring back their full-size chicken wraps too. They were so good.
Apple and cherry pies from McDonalds that were fried and not baked and the lemon McDonaldland cookies that were available in the 1970s-1980s:cool::D;)
Sorry. Just saw this post from earlier

Lol I've literally looked up online if there was a way to order these before.

It hasn't been said yet.....but when I was in HS we all loved the rolls that the cafeteria would serve each day.
Heck, I'd go back and get two more to eat just bc they were so dang good.

I forgot to mention that I got to eat free when I was in Jr. High and High School. I worked part-time behind a lunch counter while in Jr high. And in HS, I got to run errands for the principal.....like going to the bank to make school deposits and doing little odd jobs for secretaries. It was fun while it lasted.
I went to Gibbs and I thought their food sucked. The baked potato bar was decent though.

Lol nope. Literally right down the street from post. Sad, I know. I just don't really care for it here. Miss Knoxville.
I live on post. I’m not saying it’s great here haha, but it’s not that bad. Kroger, WalMart, Publix and Target are all within 15-20 minutes (ish depending on traffic) though.

I hate the area by Kroger. Takes forever to get down there. That red light at riverside Dr is a nightmare too.

Right? It’s BAD at certain times. I rarely go off post for lunch anymore haha.
Even on post, it takes me 15-20 min to get to work from where I live.

I remember having to make some tough decisions then....a dollar in my pocket would get me a big mac and a gallon of gas but couldn't get fries or drink...
I remember me and my mom back then would always eat at McDonalds when she went grocery shopping:cool:

My schools here in Madison County (Jackson) were different I suppose. I thought the food was always decent.....I never heard complaints from friends or anyone else about how our food was.

My grandpa ate pork twice a day and grandma fried everything in lard. He lived to be 91
My grandparents were the same. My grandpa got hit by a drunk driver walking home from church and was killed earlier, but my grandma lived to be almost 90. She ate fried everything in lard till she died.
