Ex-Disney World Employee Admits Taking Hundreds of ‘Upskirt’ Videos

An ex-Disney worker in Florida is accused of recording an “upskirt” video of a woman at the Star-Wars themed shop where he was employed.

The incident involving the 18-year-old woman took place at the Walt Disney World Hollywood Studios. Officials eventually arrested 26-year-old Jorge Diaz Vega on March 31, Fox News reported Sunday.

An arrest affidavit said the man admitted to recording hundreds of videos up women’s skirts and dresses at the location over a several year period.

“Diaz Vega told deputies he had over 500 videos on his phone, which he said he recorded as a ‘guilty pleasure’ for his own sexual gratification, since ‘it is hard to find them online,’ the affidavit states,” per the Fox report.

Disney's economic impact on Florida is MASSIVE. DeSantis, a dime-store bully, has picked the wrong company to fight with. Disney should leave
Florida; that would be the ultimate FU.

Issue is that they cannot. They have a unique large plot of land that can't be replicated anywhere. This was why Walt Disney chose this area, it was perfect for the theme park. There are unique swamplands that only fit with some of the resorts and Animal Kingdom animal attractions for example. Celebration is also unique to the area.

You have rides, underground tunnels, facilities, etc. that you cannot move. It would take Billions in costs to move. Not to mention the year-round weather cannot be replicated in most states. This is why North Carolina won't work. Puerto Rico won't work because it is too far away and people cannot drive there economically.

California would be a good option but they already have Disneyland and are overcrowded. This was one of the reason Walt setup a second park in Florida.

I literally do not see where Disney World could go and you literally cannot just pick up the rides, construction, facilities, infrastructure, etc. and move it. It would take 10-12 years and billions of dollars just to rebuild all that they currently have in Orlando.

Disney can't (or won't) move the FL parks. They do have thousands of highly paid corporate employees that they could relocate anywhere fairly easily. That's the lever Disney has if they want to use it...

Last time that I checked, most of the Corporate Employees are at the HQ in Los Angeles but they could move office jobs out of Florida, that is correct.

I knew an engineer that supported the Orlando parks in his previous role and he was based in Los Angeles, not Orlando.

The higher ups are in CA but most of the corporate operations people (think finance, accounting, etc) are in FL. Disney has been moving these people to FL from CA for years due to the business climate out there...

Yeah, they could move them elsewhere, you are correct. With the way things are going, they may not need the office space at all.

Disney braces for a layoff bloodbath with more than 4,000 people set to be fired by Friday - including one ESPN employee who worked at the business for over FOUR decades

The Walt Disney Co. will be laying off several thousand employees this week, a second round of cuts that's part of a previously announced plan to eliminate 7,000 jobs this year.

The latest employee releases will take place Monday through Thursday, according to Disney officials. The company will have reached approximately 4,000 job cuts when factoring in both the first and second rounds of layoffs.

One of the most publicized layoffs including ESPN VP/Corporate Communications Mike Soltys.

Soltys had been with the network for 43 of its 44 years on the air and was the network's second-longest tenured employee.

The cuts are also occurring in various locations, including Burbank, California, New York and Connecticut.

Disney anticipates a third round of job cuts starting before the beginning of the summer in order to hit the 7,000 eliminations target.

Disney has been adapting to new leadership since former CEO Bob Iger returned in November after retiring from the same position in 2020.

His appointment was prompted by a plummeting share price, onset after its streaming division incurred $1.5 billion losses in the quarter ending October 1.

Disney is hardly alone in trying to figure out the streaming model. And frankly ESPN has beyond sucked for so long its hard to understand how any of their leadership survived this long.

You just don’t get it.

Disney’s about to go 0-12 for the remainder of eternity times infinity…and beyond.

Clearly it is the streaming model.

I don't see how they have anything winnable. It went through legislation like their initial perk. It is what it is.

I went there in 72 with my parents in a camping trailer, I went back in the early 90's with my kids and went back again in the early 2000's with the wife unit. I've thought about taking the kids and grandkids back for a family trip and since Disney has become woke I'll keep my $15000 and they can kiss my ass.
I used to love going to Epcot to “visit” fake foreign lands. It suddenly hit me one day while enjoying a beer in Epcot Germany that I could actually visit REAL Germany for what I was paying to go to EPCOT. So I did 😄

A million VN bucks says Disney wins or this is settled out of court in their favor.
Why? First, DeSantis is not the legislature and can pass no bills at all. Second, legislatures pass laws that harm businesses all the time. It is what they do. Don’t you think Democrat trying to pass laws to allow suits against gun manufacturers (or even to outlaw certain guns) aren’t a direct political action intended to harm their businesses? What about Biden’s move to regulate gasoline vehicles out of existence? Is that not openly designed to hurt oil companies? Really folks….. wake up and smell the coffee know as reality

I'm not a lawyer (thankfully) and I haven't read the lawsuit so I'm assuming the suit is against the State of Florida and not DeSantis personally. I can see how they could make the argument that the legislation was targeted at Disney since there are other special districts in FL like Disney's and it was vindictive in nature.

And the law applies to all of those other districts equally. You don’t think that multiple laws every year are designed out of a vindictive motive to punish one’s political opponents?

I think it only applied to the Disney district and yes I do think multiple vindictive laws at federal and state levels are passed each year and wish more people and companies would file suit over them.

Why does this exclude the idea that Desantis was making a political effort to hurt their business? (it doesn't)

I'm no legal expert. I don't have a marketing degree. But by my knowledge of the English language, the events that have taken place, and the things that have been said, I would guess Disney has a pretty good case.

To suggest that Disney is being punished when the result is being level with others in its industry. The other parks had a better argument when Disney had the perk tbh.

You guys are saying "punished". Disney didn't say it (if they did, we haven't established that ITT), and Hog didn't say it.
