ESPN has announced that it will raise a transgender pride flag at its Connecticut headquarters on Thursday in celebration of Gay Pride Month, and OutKick’s Clay Travis blasted the network for a “direct attack” on any employee who might disagree with the transgender agenda.

Travis shared a screenshot of ESPN’s announcement on its website that it was raising what it is calling the “ESPN Equal” flag.

“ESPN will host a trans pride flag raise on campus tomorrow as part of pride month. It comes as the company advocates for men to play in women’s sports and refuses to support ⁦@samponder, who was called a bigot for supporting women only in women’s sports,” Travis wrote.

“This flag is not the usual gay pride flag, it’s newly designed to incorporate trans rights and feels like a direct attack on any employee who doesn’t support men in women’s sports,” he added.

Pixar is Losing Hollywood’s Animation War

Pixar has hit a Wall-E.

The Disney-owned animation studio responsible for the “Toy Story” and “Cars” franchises, among other huge hits, just can’t make a winner anymore.

Thirteen years ago Pixar was riding high, scoring a Best Picture Oscar nomination for “Toy Story 3.” And its last success, 2019’s “Toy Story 4,” grossed over $1 billion worldwide.

Four years later, it’s an animation afterthought that can’t compete with Universal’s DreamWorks Animation or Sony Pictures Animation anymore.

Acknowledging its decline, the studio laid off 75 employees this week to offset recent losses.

The Walt Disney Co. has announced a major shakeup in the release schedule for some its biggest movie franchises, pushing back the next installments of Avatar and Star Wars.

Disney on Tuesday pushed back the release of Avatar 3 a year, bumping it from December 2024 to December 2025, while making other tweaks to the release schedules for Marvel and Star Wars films.

For further planned installments of Avatar, the timeline stretched out even further, with Avatar 4 now slated to hit theaters in December 2029, and Avatar 5 scheduled for December 2031.

I'm guessing that if they try to boycott ESPN, it will be ignored on individual basis whenever a conservative's favorite team is on ESPN. Vols over hate baby, unless it's hating Alabama.

At some point Disney will be a case study in failing to balance “respect for employees” and “dedicated to your mission - producing quality, entertaining, And profitable movies”
Disney gets more publicity defending the rainbow flag than for what shareholders invested in them

Congrats to Gov. DeSantis with this achievement based on his polices and deflecting the baseless attacks from the fringe left.

Florida just ranked as the top state for education, amid DeSantis battles on curriculum, books, and college leadership (msn.com)

He inherited a state that was right near the top in education according to this same ranking. The idea that banning a few books and topics would put you at the top is completely wishful thinking.

The article has an explanation why they jumped....it's just high college grad rates, lol.

Weird in that the left-wing zealots said the opposite would occur. lol.

I read the first article and there are many, many reasons given for the gripe. Books and curriculum are almost an afterthought. Most of it is about personnel and union stuff. I'm not surprised opponents forecasted doom and gloom educationally based on that. Hell, Republicans will even make this case on the local level in the last 2 states I lived in. This is their move. I was trying to tie the idea of book-banning to predictions of tanking educational results, which I doubted is that pervasive of an opinion. We are talking past each other.

Just wondering, how many of you conservative parents have told your kids you won't take them to Disney now because of the DeSantis/ LGBT fight?

I'm sure you won't sacrifice your principles for your kids' happiness.

Probably about as many liberals who have told their kids they won’t go to Florida or Disney due to desantis/policies they complain about, or ever visit states like Florida or Tennessee due to things like abortion restrictions/bans. I’m sure you wouldn’t sacrifice your principles.

My principles would be to go to Disney and Orlando proper, which I believe is a Dem oriented area and support it while you guys protest. But I'm not going to any other part of Florida. Key West is good to visit for fishing and diving, but it's mainly a bunch of old rich people trying to be cool.

Lived on Pensacola Beach for three years during my flight instructor tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Navy was dominant then and increased the diversity of the city, but with the much smaller military it has morphed back into the Panhandle's basic nature, i.e. being a southern province of Alabama with all of its problems and prejudices.

Disney CFO Christine McCarthy Is Stepping Down

"Disney's Chief Financial Officer, and the woman groomed to be Bob Iger's successor when he leaves in 18 months (or sooner!), just quit without warning, citing a "family medical" issue.

Yeah, so... The excuse for her out-of-the-blue shock termination may be true.

But I have suspicions.

Walt Disney Company's CFO Christine McCarthy is taking a family medical leave of absence from Disney. Effective July 1, Kevin Lansberry who is the Executive VP and the CFO for the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products will fill in for the McCarthy until a new CFO can be found.
She will still be working as a "strategic advisor" to train her replacement.

What could the Shock Termination be about?

When Chapek got fired, the sudden coup was arranged behind the scenes by Bob Iger and, I believe, this woman. They rallied the board to fire Chapek when Chapek was out of the office -- in fact, it was a Sunday night. He was out at an Elton John concert. They organized the coup when they knew he wouldn't be in a position to fight it.

And here's the thing: This woman has been named in a class action lawsuit alleging that she cooked the books to deceive investors into thinking Disney+ was doing better than it is:

This all comes after McCarthy was named in a potential class action lawsuit from some investors over alleged misrepresentation about the state of Disney+ success. She was named along with Bob Chapek and Kareem Daniels, however she was the only current Disney employee.
If you remember some unsubstantiated, completely speculative rumors I mentioned before: Kamran Pasha speculated that Chapek's firing was actually due to the fact that Disney had lost money and attempted to quickly make it back by, get this, investing billions in Sam Bankman-Fried's FTX coins. Which were of course a scam, with all investors losing all of their money.

And his claim went that this woman was involved with that, and arranged the palace coup against Chapek because she was afraid he was looking into Disney's books.

Do I believe that? I certainly didn't think it was likely before. It's very hard to hide massive losses without being detected. There's a lot of paperwork. And you have to keep signing your name to frauds, which means you're signing your own prison sentence.

And now...? Well I still think this is the type of high-stakes crime that a bourgeois corporate type would not commit.

I would just say, I am looking at this Wild-Ass Rumor with fresh interest. Not fresh credence, necessarily. But fresh interest.

Is the new Disney film, Elemental, using a homosexual color scheme for the film title knowing the film may appeal to kids?

I'm told that the rainbow was actually a copyrighted symbol by the god of abraham, so maybe they're promoting a Christian color scheme knowing the film may appeal to kids.

This religious grooming has to stop.

So what would be the response if at every Pride Parade there was a rainbow float with a QR code that the site was devoted to God’s promise to not destroy the earth with another flood
