There are plenty of missed calls in every football game that refs/crowds/tv viewers don't see.

I'm sure we wouldn't complain if the Vols won. Obviously they lost so everyone is going to strain and try to find as many missed calls as possible.

I don't see why yall are saying I'm nitpicking, the head ref missed a false start on 4 and inches with 50 seconds left in the game. I mean come on man, missing a call during a play is one thing, but you can't miss a false start when nobody is moving and the guy moves.

I like to think they're just venting, and not actually thinking that firing Jones would be good...I guess you never know with this place though haha.

Even those who would like to see him fired now... which aren't many... realize that UT can't fire him. He'll get 3 years regardless of how good or bad it is.

I was watching it on tv so maybe that had something to do with it, but both me and my dad saw it and said he moved live. Water under the bridge anyway, just a crap day all around.

It was a slight movement, but I seen them call a flinch like that before. Hand doesn't need to come off the ground for it to be a penalty.

If we lost to Kentucky next week I won't doubt you at all. That will only prove that this coaching staff sucks. However, Vandy is going to win 8-9 games this year whilst Kentucky is going to win only one (hopefully). Butch beat one of the best teams in the SEC with this team. My main point is that it's just too early to jump to any conclusions either way. Im not trying to say he's the next coming of Neyland but he's not Dooley 2.0.

So if Tn beats Ky then you are convinced that this staff is the real deal ? I know it was cold at the game but did your brain get frozen or something ? Tn beat USCe on a fluke catch and it was a upset. They happen. If those 2 teams played right now and Tn with Worley at QB , you think Tn wins again ? Like it or not BJ is no better than Dooley right now.

No he is not a bad coach. Nick Saban could not take this team and win with it. We lost all our playmakers off of last years team. Bray, Hunter, Patterson, even Z. Rodgers. Worley had started 1 or 2 games under Dooley. He had little or no expierence at QB coming to this year then he got hurt and we had to go with a freshman QB. No coach in NCAA football could of got more out of this team. It will change Butch will have us back on top. You will see. Then don't hurt yourself jumping back on the band wagon.

I really haven't seen anyone say fire Butch. We're disappointed with 4 straight embarrassing performances. Also, I didn't see Dooley or Kiffin calling plays tonight. Regardless of the problems we're facing because of the previous coaching staffs, when teams try to give you a game (Florida 4 turnovers), Vandy (4 turnovers), and you blow it, it's ridiculous to blame anyone besides this team and the coaches.

I agree. Butch isn't getting fired and every reasonable person knows it. Regardless, this is a game Tennessee should have won and it's disappointing to play so poorly considering Butch had two weeks to prepare.

That Tennessee was one bad call. One bad call away from winning this damn football game? So if we had won we would be 5-6 going into an easy win Kentucky game and a chance to go bowling. I can almost guarantee it that this site would be completely different had we won the game. There would be no "fire Butch" threads and all that garbage. You people seriously live in the moment so much. Look at the big picture, we suck. It's not Butch's fault we suck, it's his predecessors, and he almost had us to a bowl game this year.
