We've played 5.5 games of average-to-awful football this season, and .5 games of good football. Don't go crazy if we don't beat USC.

Can we? Sure
Do we? I'm guessing no.

I thing SC's defense looks weak, and their hearts pump baby ****!! What worries me the most is M. Davis and the early kickoff.

If we play with the fire and attitude we did saturday its possible we could win this gm. It all depends on which TN team shows up. The team from the GA game or the team from the S.Alabama gm. GO VOLS!

Worley is the key.. and I think he unlocks the door and lets Spurrier's know we are back and he is getting older and more obsolete by the minute

I'm hoping to see the creative play calling and all out pressure in both halves against South Carolina. Hopefully we come out and hit them early and often...if we wait until the 3rd quarter to come out of our shell, we may be in a hole too deep to get out of.

Here's hoping the second half against UGA keeps the teams inner fire fueled and burning thru the bye week...Go Vols!!!

we found our mojo and we will win. The entire team pulled together and now has confidence in each other and will gel together! GO VOLS!

And everyone, especially PIG will want to make a statement! Love his attitude and CBJ obviously loves him!

I counted 7 players that played against GA that did not play against Oregon.

Something going on at SC.. Internally.. Clowney not playing. Spurrier seems stressed.. they barely winning at Ky if Arkansas beats them they may melt down in TN atmosphere .. go Vols...I believe TN gets the win.. TN 31. SC 24

One of the LB will have to key on QTb play. Spurrier will seek out TN weaknesses and out coach us.. I think that if the vols can contain Shaws legs on the run we have a chance..

i believe our days of being out coached are done.

I totally agree with this...don't know if its the Clowney
situation, lack of leadership,or something else, but something doesn't seem right with USC... their 2nd halves have been awful against inferior teams and allowing them to climb back into the game...

The game sets up well for UT.

1. Coming off a positive performance.
2. Heading into an extra week of practice and prep with those positives. Extra time to heal up.
3. USC seems to be having some issues on D. and they will be coming off a road trip to Arky.
4. Games at home.

Its time to take that full step and win a real game. We will see if we are ready to do that. No reason we shouldnt be right in the middle of this one.

Blowout potential in UT's favor. Not joking either... I have no doubt that UT shows up and gives their all... SCAR has snuk by too many easy teams, and this is where they pay their due.

Just imagine what could be in store if Worley continues to progress and Neal continues to run the way he has been.

I think the Arkansas game will be a high stress tilt for USCe. I have a feeling they will feel drained going into their second consecutive SEC road affair. Even though the Vols are coming off of a loss, there were enough positives for Butch to build upon during the bye week. Tennessee will come out rested and jacked. Hopefully, the noon kickoff will temper their enthusiasm and they will not come out too high.

This will be a typical black-and-blue Tennessee-South Carolina fight. There will be a lot of smashmouth offense from both teams. I could see a game plan from Butch which directs the running plays to Clowney's side thereby neutralizing his speed. Conner Shaw will give UT's defense fits on third and longs. This might be a game that Tennessee decides to run more nickel packages to prevent Spurrier from isolating matchups on AJ Johnson and use Sapp or JRM to spy Shaw.

This might be a game where Brendan Downs and AJ Branisel exploit USC's green linebacking corps

I think it will be Vols 27---Gamecocks 21.
