Conferences don't gets bids; teams do. There isn't a set amount of teams who will make it from the SEC, and it could range anywhere from 4 to 6, based on how everyone finishes.
I was reading a couple of posts wrong. I was reading it as Tennessee needs to beat Alabama in the standings in order to get a bid, but the posts were talking about a bye. My bad.I think everyone understands that, what's your point?
* not being an ass just curious what you are saying, because last I knew most people knew this.
UT is not getting into the tournament with an RPI around 100.
Granted if they win 8 of the next 10 the RPI will go down substantiatlly.
But not enough to get in. It needs to be under 60 to claim you got robbed by the selection committee.

sorry fellas, but i don't think we will win at l s u. this would put us in the nit. that's really where we need to be going, anyway. that tourney would give this team more chances to win a few games and get some valuable experience for next year. just my :twocents:
I don't think we really have a chance to make the NCAA tournament unless we win the entire conference tourney and get that automatic bid...I think it would be best for this team to go to the NIT and maybe make a run to the final 4 in NY...Going to the big dance would be very short-lived, and an NIT run would give the kids a taste and CMM could use that as good motivation for next season
This team isn't guaranteed a first round nit win.
We will e playing a road game in the first round of nit.
If we play NCAA its neutral court. You never I repeat NEVER take nit over ncaa
