I'm not presenting anything other than the concept of................
The only worse than government is its absence.
why are you dropping your typical spectrum argument?

There are plenty of different shades of government.

no government MAY be worse than government. but LESS government is better than more government. Think of it like your gun argument, I don't want to see government removed completely, I just want less and less of it each year. Just in this case I can be honest about my reasons unlike you.

its literally a case of insanity. Doing the same thing over and over, increasing the government's power, and expecting different results, like solutions to problems or a better government, is insanity. our government has no incentive to get better, do better, or deliver results. Because people like you will vote for Biden, and other people will vote for Trump, yall are the same.

Yes. You're economically immature. Their revenues dictate it. We're talking about RELIANCE.

NUANCE
I admit i don't know economics short of the more debt I have the greater chance of bankruptcy...so for instance CA is 600 billion in debt, recieves 125 bill in aid, and pays 250b taxes...without thr aid anf paying taxes CA is till 400 billion in the hole ..bankruptcy will happen sooner there then say a state with 50 bb debt...correct??? Or is there a a data point I'm missing??? Again economics is not something I study.

About half of your post is good.

I'm thinking you'd have a hard time finding where I said more government was good and/or less governemnt was bad.
It's the morons who claim that government is bad who I'm at odds with. Bad government is bad. Good government is good.
But government is essential.
If people were like me, Biden and Trump would have never won their primaires and our elected politicians would be far better than the ones we currently have.

Try not to hurt yourself dismounting from that high horse.

What does that have to do with trust?
Hmm, That's a real tough one. Let's see, how can i explain this in a way you might be able to grasp.

....Trust in an important element in relationships. I trust my wife, I trust my friend, I trust the bridge I drive across. When there is no relationship, there is no need for trust. Do I trust strangers with whom I have no interaction? Do I trust the gondola dangling from a steel cable in China when I will never be a passenger? Furthermore, I can voluntarily continue in relationships even if I lack trust but the goods or services would have to be worth it.

So, if I am a customer of a business (we have a relationship) and they do something which destroys my trust, I can simply sever the relationship thus removing the need to trust. Or, I can continue without trust if the goods or services are worth the relationship. This is because I am in a voluntary relationship with the business. Additionally, the business has no meaningful way to punish me when I chose to voluntarily severe the relationship.

I trust this post will completely escape what scant common sense you retain.

So you equate parents to the government? I didn't elect my parents and once I turned 18 they could no longer punish me.

Again, dumb analogy.
yeah, and grounding is totally the same as going to jail. I remember my parents grounding me for 25 to life for breaking a lamp.

I bet you didn't change parents every 2 to 4 to 6 to 8 years....

I bet your parents also had a standard held on them for the care and raising of their children where they could be punished by the government if they didn't meet the standard. I don't know who the government is that punishes the parents in his parents=government analogy. It certainly isn't the constituents.

There is no such thing as good government.

Someone has to say yes here. On the whole our government is filled with honest folks trying to do their job. It gets messy because in democracy no one ever really gets what they want, so you're always going to be at least a little dissatisfied with the result. If you think we've got it bad, there are plenty of other countries you can point to that are truly corrupt and have it much worse.
No, the difference is that ours is not as overt as those others. It is true though, we have the best government money can buy.

What a weak argument. Compromise is outlined in the document which established how our government functions. And that same document has provisions for modification and compromise.

The extra constitutional, wasteful, and bureaucracy-bloating compromises SHOULD be never be considered a good thing.
When did I say anything about any of the things you are ranting about? A weak argument is one that makes up positions for people out of the blue. Another staple of VN.

Ruby Ridge
Waco
MK Ultra
Operation Northwoods
The gulf of Tonkin incident
Governor Whitmer incident

Yes, I 100% trust my government, I believe Hunter is innocent, Hillary should be our next president, and I’m in no way suicidal.
What is the Gov Whitmer incident?

If you think that is a defense of this....................
The only two things I trust less are big business and the absence of governemnt.
I know, right??? It sure does suck when a business does something untrustworthy and I am forced to continue to do business with them at the threat of jail or a gun.
What does that have to do with trust?
..........then there is certainly scant common sense on display.

I am going to need you to show how "good government is good". Because I believe what you are saying is that "governments that do what I want them to do are good".
