Been listening to the sports guys who do the 49'ers games on the radio, and they are full of respect for Josh. Said that he was mature, not mistake prone, and was quite capable of being the Cardinals starting Q.B. even after Kyler Murray is well. They also commented on drops that should have been caught, especially the two in the 4'th quarter that should have been a touchdown, and Dobb's ability to run, which puts added pressure on defences. Was nice to hear, and I hope that he keeps his job..

Dobbs QBR is higher than Matthew Stafford, Dak Prescott, Lamar Jackson, Kirk Cousins, Jalen Hurts, Russell Wilson, Jimmy Garoppolo, Trevor Lawrence, AND Joe Burrow (and 15 other NFL QB's). He's also starting on one of the worst teams in the NFL while achieving the 9th best QBR. I'm a Cardinals fan as long as he's their QB.

Ive always known that pro ball is about who the team has money invested in gets the first, second and often third shot to play but as terrible as majority of the NFL teams are at QB youd think someone would have given him a shot before now. His 2 games last year with the Titans (a disaster of a team by years end) proved he wont beat you with numerous mistakes which is the first step in winning a football game. Makes you wonder about some of these teams and what their objectives are, Titans being one of those.

The Falcons should sign him for next season to be the best backup in the league, and a mentor to Ridder. Ridder has all the tools to be a high level QB in the NFL. Dobbs would be a great asset helping to develop him, plus be ready and competent were he needed via injury or poor play

Dobbs is a starter not a back up. I bet there's some high paid starters out there with as many playoff wins as Dobbs.

If the Falcons acquire Dobbs it will be Ridder on the bench backing up Dobbs.

Ok. While his history in the NFL has been backup or mostly, third string and inactive, he's all of a sudden a starter. You're not too knowledgeable on the NFL, are you? He's a starter right now because the Cardinals knew he could come in and run their offense competently. I love Dobbs, but I also know his limitations at the top level. If you knew better you wouldn't even think about debating it

Same, plus waiting to be a Lions fan for Hooker! I've never really had a team in particular, just a fan of certain players, so I'd pull for whatever teams they played for. Definitely was a colts/broncos fan for Peyton, and just haven't watched much since he retired.

Go ahead and explain how he’s on a lower level than Daniel Jones, or Ryan Tannehill, or Anthony Richardson, or Bryce Young, or Justin Fields, or Russell Wilson, or C.J. Stroud, or Lamar Jackson. He’s not on the level of Burrows or Mahomes, but neither is the rest of the league.

So, fill us in on his limitations.

He’s doing this when he spent the preseason on another team’s roster. This offense is the first one that aligns with his gifts imo…almost like it was designed for him. If Kyler Murray takes the job back, I expect in this copycat league someone else will give him a starting shot.

" I have always been a proponent of going with the “hot hand,” and after Dobbs put forth a 99-yard drive against the San Francisco 49ers defense, there is no question he can be a starter in this league. And remember, Dobbs has done all of this despite the fact he spent training camp and the preseason with the Cleveland Browns. "

I know 1 thing. The Steelers are about to roll out Mitch Trubustky next week. I guarantee they are asking, "hey why didn't we keep this Dobbs guy."

And don't even get me started on freaking Mason Rudolph. There is an argument for Dobbs even being better than Pickett.

They never even gave Dobbs a shot and did him a disservice in doing so. Everyone just wrote him off.

Imagine Dobbs playing for a team like San Fran or Dallas. He would literally be unstoppable.

@Dobbs 4 Heisman drop your cash app I'll buy you a beer.
