As usual, no use in nuance or detail. I like Dobbs at least as much as you, but I also have a grip on reality as to the NFL. He might have the best job of all time. That you must pigeon an extreme, one way or another, without having the first damn clue isn't surprising.

And you trot out the same tired argument that has been put forth on here to support every horrible coach we have had in the last fifteen years, before the fan base turned against him and he was canned: "He's the coach so he can't possibly be wrong or incompetent."

An NFL coach has made Dobbs the starter. He could have signed the mighty Colin Kaepernick; he could have traded for some other team's backup...but he didn't.

But really, all I have to say to fully reveal how silly your argument is is to point out that when I asked you to explain how those other starters are on a different level than Dobbs, all you could come up with is that they have been the starter longer. Because you really don't know anything at all about either the QB position or the game of football, and you tried to verbally bully another poster with a bluff, and I called you on it.

Why don't you find the thread I started on Dobbs after the Cowboy win and read some of it. Is Mike Tomlin incompetent? My goodness, it's a message board. Lighten up. Thank you for your kind response (possible blue font). You give me less credit than I don't deserve. Believe, even lil clueless me, understand futbol in the professional ranks very well. You missed the point. But that doesn't matter as you are self proclaimed reality guru on nfl. Some throw their stuff in a thread that has a positive vibe going,apparently, to throw cold water on it to bring everyone they deem is misguided back to their perception of "reality". That's what it looked like. Sorry I rained on your parade and caused you to Pepper me with your insults. Lucy will pull ball back next time I try to kick it I just know it.

I apologize. Wasn't really meaning to be a negator. Arizona could finally be his landing spot if he continues to play well and keep them competitive. Please read my thread on the win vs the Cowboys

Dobbs will likely be the quarterback all season and I think that Murray went on the season ending injury list.

Still waiting for you to list those apparent limitations. What were those things the OC's that picked him 3rd saw. I'm trying not to debate but would like the facts besides him being over looked.

There is a downside to Dobbs doing well. He's likely playing them out of contention for the first draft pick, where they had eyes on QB Caleb williams of USC. But where the media after his first game was pining for the return of Kyler, it has now changed to moving on from Kyler.

Joshua Dobbs ranks eighth in total QBR after four games, while playing behind the THIRTY SECOND ranked O Line! There is absolutely no doubt he will continue to be a starter in this league if he remains healthy. Derek Carr just signed a four year $150 M deal. Ryan Tannehill is on the end of a four year $118 M deal. Joshua Dobbs is about to get paid! He is a serious QB upgrade over two thirds of the QBs in the league, but what teams are actually in a position to go after him? Does anyone with a functioning brain think Bill Belichick wouldn't eat the remaining $3M on Mac Jones contract and snap up Dobbs? So how about the Falcons? Desmond Ridder has no guaranteed money left and a whopping $540 THOUSAND dead cap hit. Sam Howell is Washington would cost even less to cut. Tannehill will be a free agent and Vrabel already had a cup of coffee with Josh. What if Gannon decides to stick with him? Of course there will be more QBs taken in the 2024 draft but Dobbs has positioned himself very well to command at the very least a mid tier QB contract that will provide him with generational wealth.
