No, Worely can't even outrun most of the linemen. When he does run, it's because nobody is keeping contain on him. On that particular play, he had the whole left side of the field open. Peyton could have taken it in for a score, even now, at 38 or somethingStart at around 3:40.

Worley can move when he wants. And I'd expect him to run a bit more this year.

So we should look down at Worley cuz they played a great Oregon team? Doesn't matter how well he could have played it would stilll be a huge loss. He didn't play vs UF until it was too late and he almost won the GA game. What Ls are you talking about?Alot of people are giving this guy heck he dont deserve. from a fan prospective it was nice someone run at the QB position, but the problem was he was inexperienced and made amateur decisions. IF he can grow from that he would easily start over Worley. If he can complete 50% of his passes I would start him over Worley. Lets not forget although Worley helped us win "1" big game there are definitely more games in his career right now that point the other way to the "L" column, that left us feeling like we had absolutely no chance. To think that Worley has a ton of room for improvement is absolutely unrealistic being a senior but he could improve some this season. Dobbs on the other hand got ruled out last by many fans last he because he performed poorly as a true freshman at the most easily seen position on the field and TV with 3-4 years to grow and develop. If Dobbs comes around by this time next year he will be undeniable.
There were plenty of games last year where everybody on the field was screwing up, wrong routes, lazy O-line, dropped passes, along with Freshman QB mistakes, and being down most of the season every game doesnt help any(thats why we 5-7). he used his feet alot to get us a set of 4 more downs so our team could have a shot. NOT saying he's the answer or that he has the arm to be our 1st string, but I'm pulling for him to make a case next year.
Personally, I hope its planned. That the coaches are going with seniority and experience in this developmental year and that Dobbs gets some mechanics down over the course of the coming season and off season. If Dobbs comes out and performs like a QB throwing wise with his wheels and with the WRU and a experienced Oline next year we are developing that could allow us to see an offense that we UT fans have been longing for, for a LONG time.
You fans that wrote his career off completely over last year pitty you. and fans that act like Volornuttin doesnt get an opinion pitty you also. make an analysis dont say something that puts your IQ in the negative

OP.. You've got to be kidding.. Worley is our best chance to win anything as shown in the UGA and SC games last year. We would have gotten pounded had anyone else played QB in those games..
Worleybird (as you call him) will be the most improved qb in the sec this year...and we will be proud! Go VOLS!!!Well, at least I wont be dissapointed when WorleyBird stinks it up again, Worley might be the right start for this year. I'm just really hoping Dobbs can get his crap together. I expect Worely will be better than last year, but he's still Worley and his potential I dont think goes very high. Not usually a downer but if I'm going to be a downer about something at least I'm constistent and dont act like Worley is the answer to UT's success. He's just not good in game situations. Period.
All that BS because someone states their opinion? Wow. Being a drama queen, are you? It's great that parents/family friends come on these forums to sway public opinion ...makes for great comedic relief
And don't tell me you are not...Because you have only one other excuse and it has something to do with breaking into the nurses station computer at the mental health facility you reside in ...![]()
Where are your FACTS... that Worley even runs that fast? Hmmmmm? Pull them out of thing air, or was it your arse?Dobbs runs a 4.6 or 4.7 depending where you're reading. Worley runs a 4.8.
So if you wanna dog Worley for NOT running that's fine but please know facts before you post crap.
What is your opinion of the new o line that is charged with protecting the qb and blocking for the running game? Will they have an impact on the win/loss ratio? All that BS because someone states their opinion? Wow. Being a drama queen, are you?
Again...I qualified my statement by saying IF.....they are all about the same in the passing game, I hope CBJ goes with Dobbs...cause defenses WILL key on Hurd, with no credible threat from the QB position in the Read option.
I don't know why you're so obsessed with the qb being a running threat. The triple option died with the veer and wishbone.Where are your FACTS... that Worley even runs that fast? Hmmmmm? Pull them out of thing air, or was it your arse?
Peyton Manning supposedly ran a 4.8 in college and he'd be the first to tell you he ain't a running threat. Worley is no more mobile than Tyler Bray was.
