That he was a secret agent Muslim?

That he hated the country and was plotting with others in a conspiracy to ruin it?

No, I don't remember anything like that. Especially not in any sort of organized fashion by radio or tv commentators with millions listening.

So you never heard anyone say he had a direct hand in (or alternately knew about but deliberately allowed to happen) the felling of the WTC and some 3000 american deaths?

There's more where that came from and I'm sure if you gave yourself a minute you'd start recalling a few.

No dufus. But he did have a secret racist hurricane making machine. He also organized 09/11, remember.

The number of people touting that about Bush was about 1/5,000,000th as many as touting the notion that Obama is part of an active conspiracy to have us surrender to Iran.

Come on, guys, you have to admit that this isn't even close.

I believe you are inflating the numbers on one side and minimizing those on the other. It happens quite often when one is arguing for a side they believe in, we are all guilty of this at one point or another.

If you have hard numbers comparing the Obama allegations you cite vs the 9/11 conspiracists I'd be genuinely interested in seeing them. I think that fraction you use is...umm...pretty much a biased dismissal. I'll gladly recant if you can give me more than your say so.

You were talking about Boortz, Limbaugh, etc. None of them are saying the stuff that you are leaping to. Your leap is the same leap as the nine elevers. So you are one of them. Congrats.

I believe you suffer from selective perception. Someone even made a movie about assassinating Bush while he was still in office.

He was destroying our civil rights, killing innocents for his oil buddies, secretly planned 9/11 and intentionally allowed thousands of blacks to die in Katrina. He was the most dangerous president ever (sound familiar).

You either forgot or didn't pay attention to the left commentators during this time.

Honestly you appear to pay more attention to right commentators than anyone else on this board and you appear to do it for the outrage it causes you.

This is the great irony. LG's loose connections and giant leaps are the very tactics that are criticized by him.

Maybe you should get your own show LG :p

Limbaugh has been more about the economic aspect of things, but you are flat wrong about Boortz, who has been front and center on the Muslim angle: Boortz: "Let's ask Obama how many prayer rugs he has" | Media Matters for America

And here is Boortz -- from his own webstie -- discussing the "Muslim Pirates" and linkage between Obama and Somalia to blame:
MUSLIM PIRATES

By Neal Boortz @ April 15, 2009 8:29 AM These Islamic goons tried to board another American ship last night. They were repelled. In the meantime their activities continue pretty much unabated.

Question: Why are the pirate operating bases still untouched in Somalia? Well, that would be because Obama wants to talk. He wants to reward the piracy by pumping money into Somalia to solve their domestic problems. Wasn't there a movie about this nonsense some years ago? Something about a mouse that roared?

Where in any of this is Boortz claiming Obama is a secret agent muslim?

Boortz is easily the most entertaining of all the conservative talk radio guys. He doesn't take himself too seriously.

I love his "Mexican Flu" rants. He figures if they get credit for the food, they should take the blame for the flu.

Entertainment. He is so serious about this, that he mocks the birth certificate conspirators on his airwaves. You need help.

As far as surrendering to Iran, Boortz does not think he is some secret agent muslim. He just thinks he is weak leader with bad ideas. There are no secrets there.

Reaching. Whether you actually agree or not aside Boortz has been lamenting his perceived coddling of Islam for some time now, long before Obama became any kind of national issue. He criticized Bush about it (as well as being quite harsh about W and immigration) and rest assured if he sees something he doesn't like about how it's handled from Obama he'll point it out.

I believe it was even a thread you participated in where it was pointed out that Boortz actually gave high praise to Obama for how he allowed the US Captain's kidnapping to be handled by the military.

I've actually had some cases with a couple of people from the "Freemen" organizations. They sue all the time over nonsensical stuff and refuse to take oaths, recognize jurisdiction of the courts, etc. Sometimes they have a little stamp they endorse things with, like with Paul Revere etched into it.

I wonder if we are going to start seeing some apparently random acts of violence like this, clothed in someone's view of principle.

It is entirely perfect for a liberal group to bomb and kill police officers!

In fact, they will be college professors one day!

Excellent point that goes to the title of this thread. Ayers was certainly part of an anti-government group but in no way would he be considered tied to a conservative group.

I call BS. When Kanye West gets on national TV with an audience of millions and says, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people”. IMO, the number of people who bought into that message was huge in comparison to the “Obama is a Muslim/ wants to surrender to Iran” message.

Nice Google search. You forgot to post his message praising Obama for taking action against the pirates.

"On Friday I said quit a bit on the air about the United States showing weakness: Weakness with Korea, and weakness in dealing with these Muslim pirates. Well, Obama came through. He told his military commanders to bring this episode to an end if they saw the means to do so. Obama said yes to a Pentagon request for standing authority to use appropriate force to save the life of the captain. We have to recognize that a failure of this mission would have been used against Obama ... so his decision showed courage. I was surprised. Pleasantly surprised. "

It seems in LG’s world that praise for Obama goes unrecognized, as if it were the only acceptable norm; but criticism labels you as a right wing extremist, even if both come from the same person.

Congratulations to Obama. It must be nice to be at a point where some people cannot possibly fathom you doing anything wrong.

Do you hold equal disdain of Boortz for criticizing Republicans as you do for his criticism of Obama?

"The Republicans just don't seem to get it. They are too busy fighting petty arguments and being "against" the Democrats, and they can't seem to get any freakin' ideas of their own. Why would Americans want to join a party that doesn't have any ideas, any purpose, any vision? Even if you don't agree with the Democrats' plans - universal healthcare, cap-and-trade, card check - at least they HAVE ideas. Being in the "minority" is not an excuse. If anything, this should be THE time for Republicans to start coming up with innovative initiatives to its party energized. But instead, they come up with stunts like this ....."
