Dodge Challenger Question?

Gas mileage isn't nearly as bad I thought it would be. I'm still scared of mine I've gone 85 that's it :)

Nothing wrong with that at all. I know they say cars are terrible investments, but take care of it and you'll have that car for a long time.

I think it is smart to be afraid of it. They can be as dangerous as a loaded gun in the wrong hands.

I'm babying it big time. How do you keep yours clean? The black is so beautiful but is high maintenance

Im getting more comfortable. I'm just not used to it. I punched it once merging on the interstate so I wouldn't have to merge onto the emergency lane and it threw me back in my seat. That was an eye opening experience for me so I'm taking it slow haha

This time of year it's hard with rain every other day and the pollen. I wash mine twice a week and get it detailed once every month.

My boss has a son who does detailing. He has packages that can be permanent. 1 year packages, 3 year, 5 year, permanent. He does great work but it's very expensive I plan on getting it done

I am not so sure about Hellcat future value. They have made quite a few of them, and we may be filling up with something other than gasoline some day. A Hellcat may be looked upon like smoking in a public place is today. It may be just a piece of art in 40 years.

All of us old guys who buy those kind of cars will be dead in 40 years. Plus, it will be outrageously expensive to repair some day. Almost all of today's new cars may be throwaways.

Possible for sure. I think a few of the modern muscle cars will go up in value one day. Ford pumped out the Mustang GT like mad back in the day and they demand a high price now. Pontiac made way fewer GTOs and their current price is outrageous. Not sure where something like a Hellcat might fall in the future price range but a low spec 6cyl definitely won't be worth squat.

Surely at some point in the future when everyone is cruising about at government mandated speeds on their fusion powered Vespas there will be some dudes left who know that nothing feels as good as a fire breathing American V8.

You're probably right though. In 40 years our high octane fuel will be more costly than the cars that drink it most likely.

I agree with your assessment of a 6 cylinder car in the future. If any cars are worth a lot in the future, the Hellcat will be right on up there. I think they will probably hold value, but I don't look for massive appreciation.

I wish mine would. However I think personal value is more important this is my first new car so I'm going to want to keep it. But for conversations sake the only camaro that could possibly be a masterpiece one day is the exorcist camaro which is 1000HP I think it may be 1 of a kind. But Z28 camaros may have value in the future

I drove a couple of new Corvettes and they scared me at first. You will get accustomed to it. My point is that nobody needs that much power unless you race, and this is coming from a guy who loves fast cars. They are getting too fast for the street.

Amen...I had a '70 240Z full race blueprinted for SCCA C Production road racing. Had to get Reed to grind a Road & Track cam for it when my buddies quit racing after one wrecked his Formula Vee and broke both arms at Daytona.
SCCA was no fun for me without buds to do it with.

And driving a race car gets you lots of tickets :(

All sport cars with a V6 come with a free box of Tampax! If you can't afford the big boy, go home.

Yeah, that's a sadly ignorant opinion.

You are welcome to it, but just know that you are wrong for future reference.

I've rented a few challengers on business, difficult to see out of the back and has overall bad blind spots
