Dogs of VolNation and other pets that are inferior to Dogs

Yep, Gauge just ate a burger and a half, so screw the 2 rawhides and the rabbit squeaky toy, but they are still HIS, so he has to keep 'em nearby

Well. Around 3pm my wife called me and told me something was wrong with my mini schnauzer. I got home and rushed him to the vet. he hasn't been well but he is 15 years old. he had some sort of stroke and I made the tough decision to have him go peacefully. I've balled. but I just sat there petting him and giving him kisses and telling him what a good boy he has been. longest 45 minute drive home I have ever had. well 2 more dogs to still love on.(including the blue tick I got off here like 5 years ago), but man this is tough.

sorry to hear, RV.....

I'm afraid I'm going to be forced to send mine to long term boarding. I am not looking forward to it.

Took a job that requires travel, sometimes a lot. The arrangements I made before I took the job aren't working out. So, between now and completing my house purchase she might have to go to boarding.

The house will enable the girlfriend and I to be in the same city and we'll probably move in together, so the problem will be resolved. Pupper will also have a yard to romp in whenever the desire strikes her, so she'll enjoy that too.

If you have to board your dog, look into Rover. It's like an Air BNB for dogs. In short it is people that open up their home to dogs and board them or keep them for a day.

....or a week. My daughter is a "Rover" caretaker in DC. She loves it. She actually will go to someones house and sit the pet while the owner is out.

Greatest cardio workout ever.

Giving a 100 lbs GSD a bath when she doesn't want one and resists.

I smear PB on the shower wall do distract my dog from the fact thst she's getting a bath. She is so conflicted about shower time. She can't bring herself to get in the tub but she wants me to put her in. It's made things a lot more pleasant.

Your dog is a wee bit smaller than mine...
