Dominion Sues Powell for $1.3 Billion

Wait. Put the amout aside for a second.

You don't think Powell's claims are actionable? You think accusing a private company of widespread fraud and election-fixing in multiple countries amounts to "frivolous" claims?
Have you saw dominions statement about the Arizona audit? I'd say Cyber Ninjas should sue dominion for defamation as well.

Unlike the "frivolous" canard, you can go back to multiple posts where I said they won't receive anything close to that. You seem to be making the case that Dominion will receive nothing more than an apology, and I think that's totally wrong, but perhaps I'm misunderstanding your position.

Either way, stop beating the 1.3 billion dead horse with me. It's irrelevant to my position.

I have no idea what Dominion will receive that hasn’t been settled. But Coomer made some very serious claims, said he had to go into hiding due to threats on his life, and basically settled for “I’m sorry”

My claim is what I have stated multiple times now. This is all theater and won’t amount to much at all. That assertion clearly gets your hackles up as you are clearly all in on a 2000 page filing listing “extensive damages”. I’d guess she winds up paying those lawyers time for writing that crazy ass filling which won’t be chump change. But no she isn’t going to pay “extensive damages”

Neither of us knows what he settled for. I haven't even read Coomer's suit, so I have no idea what damages he sought against the defendants in general or against Newsmax specifically. With Newsmax removed, the rest of the suit is still pending.

That's pretty specific and detailed. If any of it were false, it would definitely be defamatory. Is any of it false?
That's rich. Dominion doesn't have to prove what's said about them is false. In America there's supposed to be equal protection of the law. If it's defamation against dominion, it's defamation against cyber ninjas.

You seemed awfully giddy and ran here to post it and have been using it to prop up “extensive damages” so....

Do what now? The single most effective defense against a defamation suit is presenting evidence that what the defendant said was true. The truth cannot be defamatory.

I wasn't propping up anything and I feel no need to do so. Between you and me, only one of us is arguing as if he's sure of the result.
I’m 100% positive that “I’m sorry” will be a big part of the final outcome and we’ve already got one settlement that points that just that. That is a fact.

Well using words like the big lie has not been proven true so, it's clear defamation. The supposed big lie as you and domintion would have people believe to be true has not been proven and will not be proven true.

Well, those that spread "the big lie" have admitted in legal filings that it isn't true, so I'm not sure that argument works.

So 100% of the people that believe the election was fraudulent have admitted they believe a lie. Spoiler alert, that's a big lie.

You know what isn't a lie? Dominion is a severely biased company who's machines had many problems across the country on election night. Multiple statistical experts have found statistical impossibilities in the counts from these machines. Dominion has not and will not allow their machines to be looked at. This is all true from the facts.

Stating that he believes "The Big Lie," or has posted about it on social media, or has discussed it publicly, isn't defamatory unless any of those claims are untrue.

Referring to election fraud as the big lie, is quite frankly a big lie in itself. Just because you and dominion believe something certainly does not make it true.

Well, no. See, Dominion isn't under any obligation to prove the claims false, though they have debunked many of them (Venezuela and whatnot). If I claim, without evidence, that you cheated on your wife, you can't defame me by calling me a liar.

By using statements like pushing the big lie and also adding in that they have no election experience. They are essentially defaming the company cyber ninjas. There is no such thing as "the big lie". That's a false statement no different than spreading something from Q anon.

How is saying that they have no election experience defamatory? Do they, in fact, have election experience? If they do, then it's clearly a false statement. It they don't, then what's the problem?

Lol, making statements in a public forum in order to discredit or damage them clearly meets the definition of defame. Look it up. Just because you and dominion are clearly biased doesn't mean you're telling the truth or have the right to defame a company.

Nope. Defamation requires a false statement. If the truth can be used to discredit, then that's life. Cyber Ninja can present other facts to defend their credibility.

You need to look up "defamation" before telling anyone what they should or shouldn't look up.

You're dumb even by Alabama standards.
