Any check being written is likely for token attorney fees and fractions of pennies on the dollar for the amounts being sued for. Probably some of the best PR money the entities getting sued could get out of it based on their agendas and audiences.

It’s theater and over butthurt apology tours. After all that’s the only known concession that’s been published right?

They aren't settling for an apology. They will get one. But Powell, Wood, Rudy et al will be forking over a lot of money. Powell and Wood, in particular, will be working for Dominion for the rest of their natural lives (which won't be worth much, as neither will be able to practice anymore). Dominion's legal bills alone will be worth millions, and the defendants will be on the hook for them.

What the amount actually highlights is the complete absurdity and blatant dishonesty of Powell's accusations and the total lunacy of those who promoted and/or bought into them.

Right now hog is the only one proven to be correct in the outcome.

Powell and the whole "stolen election" non-sense was certainly the theater of the absurd. The amount of the lawsuit is intended to add the exclamation point to that fact.

You don't think Powell's claims are actionable? You think accusing a private company of widespread fraud and election-fixing in multiple countries amounts to "frivolous" claims?

It's not a reasonable inference as I've been arguing that the claims are the exact opposite of frivolous. If you inferred that from my posts then you have significant comprehension issues or don't know what "frivolous" means.

Unlike the "frivolous" canard, you can go back to multiple posts where I said they won't receive anything close to that. You seem to be making the case that Dominion will receive nothing more than an apology, and I think that's totally wrong, but perhaps I'm misunderstanding your position.

Either way, stop beating the 1.3 billion dead horse with me. It's irrelevant to my position.

I'll give you this: Powell's claims were indeed "frivolous" when she attempted to litigate them. Hence, all of them were tossed out of court.

That does not mean that they are frivolous when they were shouted into the public sphere with no other purpose than to defame a business.
