What do you think the punishment should be for lying to the governing body of your profession, trying to influence parents of recruits to lie for you, getting your co-workers or assistant coaches to lie for you and costing your university potential sanctions and a quarter of a million dollars in legal fees?

Kind of sounds like Bruce has mafia ties.

Clearly the issues with lying and cheating are steeped in anti-semitism. I'm embarrassed for everyone who finds it a problem for the image of UT and its athletic programs.

If John Calipari had done this he would have simply said I misspoke and moved on and all would have been forgiven.Granted Pearl set himself up for the setup but it is without a doubt blown way out of proportion.Kiffen and Orgeron have done a lot worse when it comes to recruiting.

While I hope that Coach Pearl can keep his job, Coach DeVoe is correct in what he had to say. Some of you obviously are too young to remember DeVoe. He beat Kentucky 3 times the first year including our last SEC Tournament Championship, 5 NCAA appearances and several in the NIT. He has admitted in past interviews he made a mistake by not recruiting on a national basis and that along with the shot clock and 3 point shot took away his style of play. He had a great career at Navy and is a very gracious person. The downward slide in basketball was due to Doug Dickey and his lack of interest in basketall...hence the coaches that followed DeVoe were not too good. O Neil would have been fine if he stayed. Dickey fired DeVoe after he got the team back to the NCAA tournament. And some of you have noted DeVoe is highly respected especially Coach Knight.
