100% agree with all of this.
Also he had two dropped sure fire TD's? Cool, so that means those were his only chances at a TD? Dudes argument holds little weight.
Yeah his argument is weak weak. Look I fully expect Dobbs to improve and I think he will have a good game against Vandy. However I will be a little worried if he doesn't put up a couple of TD passes against Vandy and UK. If Worley is healthy, it might be better to play him against Vandy because of the experience factor.
I think we should just shut the hell up and support Dobbs for now. Let everything else sort itself out. I have no idea why we have to tear down one or the other to make our opinions have more merit.
Worley won the first meaningful game in several years as starter. Dobbs has shown great potential in his starts despite the outcomes versus very strong opponents.

It seems to me from reading the posts on here that Worley isn't even in the conversation when it comes to next season. Dobbs has promise no doubt, and even though we haven't seen Ferg, there seems to be a lot of confidence in him. If everyone will stop and think back to the back to back GA. and SCAR. games, Worley was starting to be a leader and making the throws. Then he got hurt and we have lost 3 straight blowouts. This is not a knock on freshman Dobbs, only a just wait and see on Worley. Worley could be really outstanding his senior year.
Absolutely agree. Dobbs makes me nervous. I knew what we had in Worley. You are right, Dobbs needs a few TD's against both teams. These aren't top 10 defenses from here on out.
Let me just say this. One of the two QBs fit CBJ's system the other does not. Assuming all things are equal on the practice field the one that fits the system best will start.
Ferguson will start next season. Dobbs is an upgrade from Worley, but I don't believe he is the guy that will take is to the next level.
LACK OF TEAM SPEED LOST BOTH GAMES,... Sigh.....The only issue I have with this is:
1. Total defense and Offensive line lost it at Missouri, Not Dobbs
2. Total defense lost it for Auburn, Dobss was steller
I am high on the Fergy train but that is because I followed his recruitment closely. He has grit and finds a way to win. I pray and hope we don't lose him but I am a VOL fan first. I will always pull for what QB is in the game. GBO
What have you seen that makes you think Dobbs is a "dynamic playmaker?"
As far as "meaningful" goes, you would have to go back and look at the context of the post to which I responded. I certainly do not mean to bash Dobbs, as I hope that whoever plays qb for U.T. is wildly successful. Jones started Dobbs because he was the ONLY healthy qb on the roster. He has been quoted as saying that there was no other choice. Dobbs was it.

Why is everyone so high on Dobbs right now? He seems to turn the ball over alot to me.. just based on what I have seen. I wouldn't rule Ferg. out next year either. I think he is our guy and we'd have seen him play for whorly w/o the injury.
