1. For the most part, Memphis has had superior talent, as well. We beat you in YOUR house, when you had the NBA MVP.
Yep. That happened.
2. If you're going to compare talent, you have to leave Stokes out, because if Stokes were here all season and last offseason, this team would have a completely different tournament resume. Also, your opinion of being in bubble discussions is just an opinion. If he didn't make it, he didn't make it. I don't remember any bubble discussions, because I ignore that boring C-USA garbage unless it's relevant to UT.
If a frog had wings... I'm not going to stoop to baseless speculation.
3. You say Memphis is underrated... okay well I don't even know what to say to that, because I haven't paid attention to them since our last game. I find it hard to believe a C-USA team would have the 7th hardest schedule, but surely you wouldn't just make that up and throw false statistics out there.
It's ok if you don't pay attention to college basketball outside of UT, but don't try to have a conversation with me about things which you obviously don't follow. BPI - Feb. 12 College Basketball Power Index Rankings - ESPN There you go.
That doesn't change the fact that Memphis is backing out of the series because they're more concerned over not taking a risk and losing to UT than they are over preserving a rivalry.
Rivalry??? UT fans are the first to crow that there is no rivalry, as evidenced by Pearl not wearing the orange blazer for Memphis. Now you guys simply want it both ways. Memphis is moving on to bigger and better thing, and our OOC games can be better spent in metro areas where we can showcase for recruits.
Just admit that your coach and administration are a bunch of whiney pussaries.
