So sick of this myopic viewpoint. It's as bad as "If you don't like America, get the Hell out!". It's a stupid, one sided argument that deals only in absolutes. "If you don't like the cherry on your sundae, go eat a bagel!"

if the fans cant support the guy how will the recruits be able to support him.He will be fine

I couldn't get on due to work circumstances for most of the day today

but 17-20 is his record, and Hambone is hiring him at UT

what a letdown

I love the Vols, and I'm sick to my stomach right now
crazy man, dooley's the man
has everything TN needs to build a championship team

Kind of like the myopic view of "He went 17-20 at La Tech, so he has to be bad"?

17-20 is not a myopic view...it is a fact based indicator. Yup , he was in a competative conference without a lot of talent on his team. Do you suppose he is coming to the same situation only at a higher level of the game ?

His lack of experience in big time football and his lack of stand alone recruiting are indicators as well . (Stand alone recruiting meaning his only verified success has come when he worked for saban ...who has always recruited well with or without dooley)

I would just look at the indicators . Risky hire to say the least.

He'll be able to recruit better players at UT, and hopefully win more games than he did at la tech.

While I understand where you're coming from I find it hard, as a Vol fan, not to support this guy right now. I would call LSU pretty "big time" football. And while he was under Saban in those recruiting years, he was the recruiting coordinator. Remember, Kiffin was under Carroll during his phenomenal recruiting.
