Duke Crews and Ramar Smith Dismissed

MM BPV might not have you resources but for a person talking basketball on a board he knows plenty about the game. You can see that.

relax...the guy is trying to get my goat, so I'm giving him some grief in return. As soon as he gets tired of it, he'll stop and we'll move forward....:dance2:

qualifiers like that undermine everything you're saying. He shoots too much and not particularly well for someone taking the shots he does. He's much better heading to the hole and will likely play in the UT frontcourt.

Everyone that gets paid for a function is not a professional.

WHOA...

"he's much better heading to the hole"????

He has a very suspect handle getting to the rim. I would absolutely NOT want him trying to take people off the dribble. He needs to come of screens and shoot the midrange jumper, or post up and make one move.

Right now, he settles for jumpers because he KNOWS he doesn't have more than one bounce before he's in a bit of trouble.

What do you think of Hopson?[/QUOTE

Incredible talent. Not a one and done however.

UT will have him for two years most likely. He needs to improve his handle a bit for the NBA. Also needs to get a more consistent jumper, which I think he'll get.

He isn't known as a hard worker, which Bruce will have to fix. If he turns on the switch, he'll be a phenom. If he continues to use 2/3rds of his potential, he'll be VERY good.

Gotta also develop that killer instinct on D.

I think Bruce will be good for him. I think he'll send him to the NBA in two years.

are you just trying to make yourself feel better about your gig? I don't care to have insider info. It matters absolutely zero to me. If I wanted it, I'd pay for it, but I don't want it, so I don't pay for it. Basketball junkies probably care, but that is a very small crowd.

I would never pick up the phone to find out anything about a basketball player, ever, for any reason.

What I do has no business in the debate, because I'm not pimping it to validate anything I'm saying.

fry guy. I knew it.

Oh, and let's not forget that I was ASKED how I knew about Ramar way back when....but yeah, my job does as validity to my remarks when we are discussing basketball.....your remarks would be more valid if you had any real basketball background as well...sorry if that bothers you.

Ummm, you better use initials if you expect to be taken seriously. And beginning and ending a paragraph with haha... ....haha would not hurt.

HV

Good point. We could all benefit from adding that to our posting repertoire.

Not as bad a loss as most think sure the deapth thing will hurt but we just might pick up a future super star to fill in. Just think what the two did during this last year and the problems they had and the silver lining comes out.

Sure, picking up a future super star this late in the recruiting season would be kinda nice....good luck with that one....lol

seriously, though, Maze is a total improvement over Ramar....but....if you don't get Maze, it's a loss that will hurt.

MM who is your college and pro team?

UK college...don't watch pros....don't have time for another bball addiction.

But I'm more of a fan of college ball than any one team. I just follow UK when the balls in the air and cause I run a UK site that I love to link here because obviously, I've made SO many friends here that want to come give me money at my site.....:whatever:

Working in recruiting, you lose a lot of your "fandom". It's hard to root against other teams when you have relationships with the staffs and when you know the players personally. I generally want every team to win all the time....that's only been happening around 50% of the time, however.

But yeah, unfortunately, I grew up in Ky.
