Considering they want to fire the best thing to happen to the basketball program (outside of Pearl) yes I absolutely understand. At the first sign of trouble Tennessee’s fanbase brings out the pitch forks and torches ready to burn anyone that doesent agree. I guess the reason for that is we desperately want to win and we were a bit spoiled. It would do some good to take a step back and relax so the image of Tennessee can go back to what it once was not the insane over reacting picture it is now to coaches.

Honest question:

How can you want a coach fired that just beat a T5 team? It makes about as much sense as Duke making a run and firing K before the title game.

Go follow a UK thread on Rupp rafters when they play. They want to fire Cal after a loss. They say the same stuff we do. Just like every fanbase. Don't act like UT fans are worse than anyone else

I didn’t say we’re the worst. I think if you are a fan of either Bama or Auburn football or University of Kentucky basketball you hold the top spot. I just think that in the basketball threads people can get a little too excited too early on in the game. As annoying as that can be, I’d rather have an incredibly passionate fan base opposed to an apathetic one.

The walk and then the timeout . Pretty well documented that nearly every time their opponent that night wins a National Title there will be a bizarre play that seals the game for them.

I’m not gonna nitpick. (There are other UNC squads I’d have picked over the ‘82 team.) He’s obviously put a lot of time and effort into it and it’s just for fun. I think it’s a pretty neat idea.

It’s a great idea and I can nitpick. 😁

‘07 Florida wins its region, knocking off ‘82 UNC in the Elite 8.

Junior Corey Brewer locks down freshman Mike Jordan.

Front line depth of Horford, Noah, Richard and Speights wears down Sam Perkins while an exasperated James Worthy is left to do it all.

To no one’s surprise Matt Doherty is UNC’s weak link on both ends of the court. Our alleged weak link Lee Humphrey goes 6-9 from deep and holds his own on defense.

Jimmy Black and Taurean Green duel to a virtual stalemate.

Gators win.
