Oklahoma State though? Iowa? Based on what? Solely poll rankings? Dumb way to group the teams imo. Needs to be historically ranked, not last few years.

I agree tier 1 should be smaller than it I'd, but Ohio State, Clemson and Oklahoma deserve it too if we are talking the last 10 years. I'd move everyone else down to tier 2.

He said OSU, TCU, Clemson and Iowa in his quote, which is why I responded the way I did. Maybe he meant Ok St, but when I see OSU I think Ohio State. You missed what I was referencing, not Ok State or Penn State in CFP game.

This is the absolute facts. We are 20-6 the last two years, without that we are 50-47 the other 8 years of the past decade.

Honestly, I don't know if Tennessee would have ever been Tier 1 after Neyland. Maybe the late 60's. Maybe from 95 to 2001. Maybe not.

Be happy to be back in Tier 2.

P.S. Penn State seems wildly out of place in Tier one, I admit it.

I don't think 85' pushes us into Tier 1 though. It's at least 89 before our last 10 years would push us into Tier 1. After the 1985 season we were 66-45-5 in the preceding 10 years, those aren't Tier 1 numbers. That's 33rd in winning percentage over that period.
