EA sports has Tennessee as a 2nd tier program

There is a HUGE difference between winning a Big X Division or SEC Divisional Title vs. Sunbelt and you know it. It is laughable that you are making that argument. Under that logic, Mount Union should be top tier.

Vandy (outside of James Franklin era) is not competitive anywhere in the Power 5.
We just skunked that Big 10 West Division winner, sorry that they don't hold much water. and I am not the one arguing that divisions matter, you are. under "my" aka EA's scheme Mount Union winning a division wouldn't matter in the slightest.

Vandy scored on us. Vandy was a statistically better offensive team than 5 of the 7 Big 10 west teams, after playing in the SEC with far far better competition.

Vandy at 112 nationally in offense was better than:
115 Nebraska
121 Northwestern
122 Minnesota
125 Michigan State
130 Iowa

the only reason any Big 10 West team had a decent defense was because they were playing those absolutely putrid offenses. the best offense in the west was #60, 4 SEC East teams had better than that. Vandy would have been competitive in the Big 10 west.

winning that division should count for nothing.

Appalachian State isn't in the same division as Iowa like Wisconsin is. Wisconsin got shat on.

Texas and USC are literally TOP TEN all-time CFB programs. No one in their right mind would consider Oklahoma State to be a stronger program than either of them.
All-Time has zero bearing on these tiers. That's the whole damn point. I have literally just shown you exactly what they did, and you're still not getting it. You're either dense or dumb. EA said it's based on Top 25 rankings in the last 10 years. That's it. No ifs, or what about this, or anything. It's as clear cut as it can be, and given the game was on a 10-year hiatus, it makes perfect sense to base how they're paying schools off of it.

Iowa, Oklahoma State, and Utah are not on this but FSU and others are.

Going off this thread, I am not the only person that thinks this is BS. The entire first few pages are people complaining about it. Iowa doesn't deserve to be ahead of USC, Texas, Wisconsin, Tennessee, FSU, etc.

FSU was freaking 13-0 and ACC Champ last year. Iowa has yet to win a B1G Championship.

New Mexico State scored more on Auburn and held them to lose points than Alabama, should New Mexico State have been in CFB playing for the National Title? You can't compare this way.

B1G West isn't that great (which is my argument for Iowa being Tier 2) but they are still a far better division than the Sunbelt.

Way to take an article from 2016 that reflects only 3 of the years EA used. 2010-2013 don't matter. From 2014-2023, Iowa was 88-40 (0.688 with 6 Top 25 finishes), Oklahoma State was 89-41 (0.685 with 6 Top 25 finishes), and Utah was 86-40 (0.683 with 6 Top 25 finishes). FSU was 82-44 ( 0.651 with 5 Top 25 finishes).

Just because you and others are trying to pull in other years and other things outside of what EA used is on you. EA explicitly stated 2014-2023 Top 25 finishes. That's it. Again, if you want to go make your own video game and pay schools based on 2010 and conference championships, have at it.

Outside of Utah, none of the teams that are Tier I have gotten close to be relevant or make a playoff. In fact, I would argue their poll finish was too ridiculously high. As someone pointed out, what happened to Iowa when they met Tennessee?

This is why I stated Wisconsin as they have been a better program than Iowa perception-wise.

If EA wants to do the Tiers right, it should be based on fanbase that is likely to purchase the game. Based on that, Tennessee would be Tier I.

I think we should pull a Texas and threaten to have ourselves removed from the game until they put us in Tier I. I can guarantee you there will be a lot more Tennessee fans willing to buy the game than Iowa, Utah, or Okie State fans. Two of those teams are in the lower tier Big12 conference.

For a 3rd time, it is not based on playoffs, or perception, or (an insanely dumb assumption) of fanbases purchasing the game. It's about Top 25, and that's it. You want to complain about being ranked too high, go find the numerous of threads crying about pollsters. EA didn't rank the teams in the polls.

Lolz, "threaten to pull out"? You know how many posts/comments have made fun of Manning for opting out of the game? And you want the whole university to do it? My god, you've got to be certifiably delusional.

Texas already has threaten to do it.

Provide the articles. My Google search shows nothing of the sort.

I think we should get paid tier I because we are going to bring Tier I-type money to the game. I can guarantee you there will be more Tennessee Vols fans buying this game than Iowa Hawkeye fans and that is what should matter in the end to EA. That is the MOST important measurable for their game and not random AP poll stats that don't even line up to CFB rankings well.

Yeah, Volnation is not reputable for that.

EA CFB 25 Thread Nothing here.

NCAA FOOTBALL 25 GAME Nothing here.

NCAA FOOTBALL IS BACK MFers Nothing here.

That's 3 Texas message boards that would actually have some rumblings about it if true, yet none have anything of the sort.
