Everybody take a deep breath and step away from the ledge. Reports are he already contacted Tee. He will have the ability to hire a good staff with good ties. His defense was top 20 this season. He has won more conference titles and has a higher winning percentage than Strong, who he beat twice, and Fedora. Not saying we are winning the crystal ball next year but geeze calm down and give the man a chance.

Yes I have I know our record well. This search has been called maybe the most importand Coaching search in the history of Tennessee football. I will support Jones 100% and be at all the games. Honestly though, do you feel that the wins Jones has over the past w2 years and the losses(One of which was Dooley) equate into him being able to bring us back to the top of the food chain in the SEC?

i just dont see how that is even possible because he has to keep guys that can recruit in the sec he has to go get tee keep jay and sam and then get a stud defense coordnator maybe for real this time randy shannon!!!!!!!

I have learned that no one has a legit source on this site. I will wait on the official announcement of his staff before freaking out.

I'd hate to see Pittman go, but look at the results from Mahoney's (Mahoney is the o-line coach from Cincy) o-lines. He was at CMU and Cincy with Jones and both offensive lines produced great results. Pittman was actually a DE when he played. Wonder if he could switch sides of the ball as a coach?

There are also several rumors that Tee has already been contacted.

we hired a guy that Dooley beat?!? That concerns me no wonder some tickets are $300 no donation next year....Good luck with that one

Dooley beat a Big East team. Now the coach of that Big East team has the reigns of an SEC team steeped in tradition, facilities and power. Apples and Oranges.

Excellent Point! Everyone knows how Notre Dame's hire turned out. He was no more proven than Jones is now.

He put down the ho hos so he could impart this knowledge to Volnaton on a very important talk radio show.

sound about right with this horrible hire, tennessee football died on pearl harbor day, imagine that. guess i saw the last tennessee team to win a SEC championship in my lifetime.
