Just waking up. Unreal to see the destruction out in the western state. Multiple tornados had intensities of EF4 and higher…

Update for East TN:

Firstly, prayers sent to those out west that were impacted by these storms.

As for East TN, there is a Tornado Watch for the plateau until 11 AM CST. Based on the latest mesoscale discussion issued by the SPC and current observations, the severe threat will be more isolated in our neck of the woods. I dont think there will be any new watches issued for the rest of East TN. The primary threat will be damaging winds up to 60 mph and maybe a brief tornado in the western half of our area.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of
a building.

Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief tornadoes and widespread
significant wind damage. Although a tornado is not immediately
likely, it is best to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of
a building. This storm may cause serious injury and significant
property damage.

Watching the clouds and how fast they’re moving right now, I wouldn’t be surprised if we get some tornadoes in East TN.

It's 73 in Pigeon Forge and the trees without leaves swaying is crazy. It's just gusts of wind though, not constant.

This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are producing widespread
wind damage. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay
away from windows!

Heartbreaking. Those are some horrific videos and pictures. Praying for all of you and your families!

Sad and heart breaking news. The KY family that had their infant daughter in her car seat when they were sucked up by the tornado posted the little girl passed away from her injuries this morning.

Another MAJOR looking system, but this one seems to be targeting a little farther north, which would make sense. Winter is trying to move in up north. I don't feel as strong about tornados in Tennessee this time, but as always. Stay aware, It's a powerful system. I think Illinois and indiana and ohio have a better chance of getting hit this time. I think it's targeting mid west. That's just to calm you, but not to take you off guard. Kentucky is far enough north to again be in danger.
