East Tennessee Weather II

They're saying 80% chance of snow at 1-3" for Knoxville on Tuesday.

Just about all of the models are showing 1-3 inches for East TN. With the other NWS offices west and north of us issuing Winter Weather Advisory, I'm expecting Morristown to do it this afternoon.

Everyone is under a winter weather advisory.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TUESDAY TO 1 AM
EST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Plan on slippery road conditions,
including during the evening commute on Tuesday. Total snow
accumulations of one to three inches are expected.

* WHERE...Portions of East Tennessee, Southwest Virginia and
Southwest North Carolina.

* WHEN...From 10 AM Tuesday to 1 AM EST Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities at
times.

Not sure we are going to make 42 today..still overcast and in the 20s here...We still have snow from the dusting we got the other day.

I'm not selfish I'll take anything but a nice 4 inch snow that makes everything white would be cool...this will be a dry snow and harder to pack right?

WBIR saying 1-2 for valley..that's about what I was thinking...these type of systems also seem to be moisture starved

Looks like the 3k will up totals and the 12K drop them. SREF went up which usually is a good tell tell of more QPF.

How much melted precip will fall.

We need at least .3 every model run up to this was showing more. I’ll listen but won’t hang my hat on it until the next run.

.3 at 10-1 ratio.

3 inches

.3 at 15-1

4.5 inches

I think we will be at 15-1 in this storm.
