We’re an inch and a half to 2 in Hardin Valley and it’s pouring snow.

Seems like the big snows are gonna be over the southern counties. The plateau is only forecasted for 2-3 more inches in the afternoon band.

A mesoscale discussion has been issued by the Storm Prediction Center for parts of East TN for heavy snow. Here's the summary of it.

SUMMARY...An area of heavier snow rates, occasionally approaching 1
inch per hour, may be maintained east-northeastward across portions
of middle and eastern Tennessee through 3-5 PM EST, before gradually
diminishing through early evening.

Talking about a chance of freezing rain Thursday. I haven't gone out to measure guessing 2-3 maybe 4 inches in Tipton.

Channel 6 forecast for this week is showing some additional snow chances on Thursday and Friday so the Knox County School System might be closed all week.
