East Tennessee Weather II

Weather peeps: I’ve got the itch to play 18 holes but rain keeps screwing me. I have company coming in town this weekend and we have a tee time here in Knox.

Weather channel is all over the place. Am I playing golf this weekend to your best guess?

Edit: Saturday specifically. That’s the day of our tee time.

At this time, it looks like there is a chance for scattered showers on Saturday.

Cool, that is right about the time I get back from skiing. Hopefully we get some snow or something here as well. Would like to take the kid out in it.

Honestly, I just think it’ll be a day or two of cold. Just Mother Nature giving us the finger.

But it does look like a deep cold shot is trying to set up. Something to keep a eye on. If we stay in the pattern and get some cold air we could get a good snow!

The forecast for our Snowshoe weekend looked questionable, but look what Saturday brought! That's the most snow I've seen in one day in quite some time.

VK and RT.

Are the models showing a potential severe weather outbreak this Saturday for the arklatex and West TN corridor? The SPC has a day 6 severe weather risk, which isn’t good.

Outbreak is too strong of language to use at this time. There is potential for some severe weather on Saturday, but the lack of strong instability will limit the threat.

Edit: The SPC has a 15% area marked for those regions, which means slight risk.

Mostly flooding

Welcome to east TN where one day it'll be cold and rainy and the next day it'll be 75 degrees and sunny!

There's still some uncertainty in regards to coverage and timing. I'll be able to give you a better forecast on Wednesday.

Any further thoughts VK?

THis weather sucks. I’ve had to turn the AC on in February. Went straight into summer
