East Tennessee Weather II

Side note: Starting this year, I'll be expanding my forecasting to the entire state of TN. I'll still primarily focus on East TN, but if there is dangerous weather in any part of the state, I'll cover it.

~Severe Weather Alert~

There is a Slight risk for Severe thunderstorms in West and Middle TN. There's a marginal risk in the Plateau.

Timing:

Saturday afternoon and evening

Primary risks:

Large hail up to quarter size.
Damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.
A few tornadoes are possible in West TN.

VK's Storm discussion: There's still some uncertainty in regards to how much cloud cover will be present ahead of the storms. Obviously, the more cloud cover there is, the less instability there will be. The wind field will be strong enough to support the severe threat. There is a potential for an upgrade to Enhanced risk for West TN in the next update. I'll be keeping a close eye on this system.

Weather.com is calling for AM rain Saturday. Currently over 65% chance between 5am and 9am. Might be a soggy course if that plays out. The chance tapers off greatly after 10am.

Yeah I’ve been watching it like a hawk.

Agree the course will be wet, but I can live with that. I just need to swing a club. Been a month or so.

You need a Top Golf for the rainy days. :)
Though still not the same as the course.

Looks like a severe weather outbreak is possible tomorrow. Mainly central and southern Arkansas through west TN.

I had a feeling that parts of west TN was going to be upgraded to an enhanced risk. As of now, the primary risks I posted yesterday remains the same, but I will add that there is a small chance of a strong tornado possible from Paris, TN westward.

We never get any good storms in East Tennessee. By the time they get here, they've already dissipated.

That’s the problem, my freaking trees think it is spring and now they are going to get hit with a freeze. Weather this warm this long in February is harmful to our vegetation

I agree, when I saw your post I went outside and saw my Bradford pear has bloomed as well.

IM more worried about my dogwoods. I have a few that are ancient and fragile. My farming friends are none to happy about this early warm weather as well. But, you can’t change the weather.

I really think it’ll be only be at the max 3 days of real cold. Lows overnight will start to dip down back to the 30’s but it’s still worrisome for farmers, especially Florida.
