Wow.

I'm curious, what website are you getting these models from?

Can I ask why the local weather is not really reporting this? Seems odd a potentially significant event like this is getting no run

Idk. Some Mets like the fun and some are just old school. It's drawing a lot of criticism there way. But if they guessed big and was off they'd get thrown to the pits of hell.

I will say that if you are in the Southern Valley (Sweetwater, Athens, Chattanooga, Cleveland, ect), then I would keep your snow expectations low.

I dont know why Morristown keeps forgetting that the Northern Plateau is part of the region. In there latest discussions, they talk about Northeast TN, Mountains, and the Valley. It's like they wait until the last moment to talk about the plateau.

Alert!!!!!! (Mountains, Northeast TN, and Southwest Virginia)

...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH MONDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 12 inches possible. * WHERE...Portions of East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. * WHEN...From Saturday evening through Monday morning. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.

I can't say anything with certainty yet, as there's still time for some changes, but as of right now, I'd say a few inches.

I’m hearing different things about Raleigh/Durham. Some 4-8” and others 12-18”. Probably somewhere in between? I’ll be so pissed if it’s 34 and rain. Typical Piedmont weather.

It's a nowcast event man. The models can't make there mind up. Someone is gonna get it. Just where is the question.

Gotcha, even having the discussion at this point in December is unprecedented around these parts. At least the idea of having a decent accumulation.
