precip line falling apart coming off plateau

Considering that the center of the LP is close to our area, I'd say that the moisture is still in place and probably will be in the morning. Also, humidity is near 100%.

This system appears to be picking up speed and booking it out of here sooner than expected. I think the clipper system to our west is causing the current system to be pushed out quicker.

That next clipper system will move in this afternoon, but I think it's safe to say that the primary precipitation from it will be rain in the valley.

Does it look like that snow line will stay a little south of us here in Harlan county? If it sleets now it is going to be a mess. The roads have a lot of snow and there are still a ton of idiots out on the hwy. These steep runs combined with these rock walls right up to the road, are unforgiving of stupidity.
You could see more snow tonight in Harlan County. Northern Counties of Tn and Cumberland plateau also.

Well a long ways off but next Wednesday the 24th the snow hype could be back and us only get flurrries! Lol

I'm not expecting to get much here in southern Morgan County. I haven't seen a good snow here in quite a while.

Crazy weather..yesterday we were ten degrees below what was predicted today they said we would get up to 37..and it was 46 when I got home :)

Yeah, my interest has gone down now. The system appears to be speeding up and will probably be out of here by the time the colder air gets here.

Yep that baby is zooming out of the area..I would doubt that even the WSW areas get much...not a good week for the weather guys

After tomorrow everyone can enjoy the warmth till about Monday and winter will be back. Hopefully with some good luck us snowbirds will be smiling.

Edit: The roads in the morning still could be messy. Enough water on the road and a 32 to 33 for the low.

They warned folks that there was a lot of uncertainty with the system. Hell, you can look back at my final forecast and even I said that I wouldn't be surprised if I was wrong due to the different factors. This system was so complex that meteorologists should get a pass for not getting it completely right. It was so difficult to forecast that the meteorologists had to throw out the models and start nowcasting during the storm.

As far as this current system, MRX went out on a limb and forecasted with not much support from the models. The local guys, including Aldrich, said that this system won't be a big deal in the valley and should stay mostly to all rain.
