We needed that rain but seriously, where are the good thunderstorms?! Are we going to have to wait until May?
The lingering El Nino has really kept the amount of bad storms extremely low. What's worse is that the transition to a strong La Nina will will have the same effect. We may see some stronger thunderstorms later in May, but it's starting to look like 2007 where we have a bad drought and very hot temperatures going into and throughout summer.

I have some good news. May might not be as dry as I thought. The NAO and AO is expected to flip, which means for the short term in May we could see an increase in storms and a little bit cooler weather.
What are the rain total amounts for the next few days looking like?
Todd Howell is saying about .72" by the time it's done on Monday.
You failed me today VK! I put off spreading some lawn treatment because I'd heard we were going to get a TON of rain.
