Chattanooga meteorologist calling out the NWS :) you don't see that very often

Paul Barys from WRCB in Chattanooga just said in a radio interview the NWS has gone hog wild... doesn't know why they have the totals they have. kinda surprised m he would be that vocal against them. ( He was talking about Peachtree and Morristown)

Yep. He's calling for maybe 1.5 but says it's too early to tell. I Like that guy.
 
See that #snow in western Kentucky? It's going to move toward our area tonight giving us the potential for light accumulations. #mrxwx

Wowza! How much do you trust that?

With just the NAM model alone, you have to view it with a little bit of skepticism. It's a good short range model, but like all other models, it has a bias to it. Sometimes (not all the time), it will overdo the precipitation amount.

There just now catching up to what I've been saying.

Local stations saying you won't see much of anything tonight into early morning. Look for snow to possibly begin sometime after 4-5pm on Friday evening. It looks to get gradually heavier as the evening progresses.
