As far as which watch we're going to see issued today, I'm leaning towards Severe Thunderstorm Watch right now, as the straight line winds up to 70-80 mph will be the biggest threat. Large hail up to golf ball size and a few tornadoes are possible, so I wouldn't be surprised if we get a Tornado Watch instead.

Here's the latest front the NWS in Morristown. When they say that a strong Tornado can't be ruled out, they are talking about an EF-2 or stronger tornado.

Watch Alert!!!

Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for all of East Tennessee until 1:00 PM EST. Primary threats in the watch include destructive winds up to 75 mph, Quarter size hail (with isolated areas possibly seeing up to golf ball size), and a couple tornadoes can't be ruled out.

Outlook Alert!!!!!!!

The northern half of East Tennessee has been upgraded to a moderate risk. Wind damage chances have been increased quite a bit in these areas.

This is the damaging wind probability map. 45 and 60% are very high on their scale. In fact, 60% is the highest percentage on their scale.
