If you're talking about the weekend storm, I think it's a wait and see situation. The SPC doesn't outline any severe threat for us this weekend at this time. As RT said, flooding will probably be a bigger issue.
 
~Severe Weather Bulletin~

There's a marginal risk for strong to isolated severe thunderstorms Tomorrow for all of East Tennessee.

Primary risks:

1. Winds gusts 40-50 mph with a few isolated damaging winds gusts to 60 mph.

2. Large hail up to Quarter size is possible.
 
Update!

There's now an Enhanced risk for Severe thunderstorms in areas along and South of Athens. A slight risk has been highlighted for areas along and South of Lenoir City. Everywhere else in East Tennessee remains in a marginal risk.

...Enhanced Risk of Severe Thunderstorms across southeast
Tennessee and southwest North Carolina for late this Afternoon and
early Evening...

An area of thunderstorms will develop across middle Tennessee this
afternoon then move east southeast into the southern Plateau and
southeast Tennessee between 4 and 6 pm ET. This area of storms
will continue to move east into southwest North Carolina by 7 pm.

Areas south of interstate 40 have the great threat of severe
storms today. The main concern from these storms will be large
hail up to Golfball size and damaging winds up to 70 mph.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

Athens, Decatur, Niota, Clear Water and Riceville.
 
Alert!!! Guys, some of these storms have produced very large hail. If you have a car, I would recommend moving it into a garage as a precaution.

moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Knoxville, Maryville, Alcoa, Farragut, Louisville, Rockford,
Eagleton Village, Friendsville and Clover Hill.
 
This system seemed to take a turn south and missed my area but I've seen some crazy hail pictures from around the area even in other parts of Knoxville.

On Clinton Highway near Schaad Rd (15 minutes from my house), there was a report of golfball size hail. I think there was another report of golfball size in Lenoir City. Bradley County had the biggest hail, which was baseball size.
