Not sure if this place has already been discussed, because I don't want to read through.
Ate at Latitude 35 in Market Square a few weeks ago, absolutely terrible. However they do have good beer prices. Might be somewhere you want to go if you just want to drink, but the food was outrageously bad. Also, the AC was out that day and it was about 96 degrees in there. Wasn't enjoyable.
Over 29 pages of posts and not one mention of steamed deli sandwiches? I survived on steamed roast beef / smoked cheddar / dark bread delis from Sam & Andys and other similar delis during my years at UT in the mid 1970's. I have not ever seem them any other place since I graduated and we make a point to hunt down a deli every time we are through Knoxville.

get here on friday afternoon .. stay in a hotel on campus or downtown .. go to the game .. go to the mountains on monday to avoid the crowd .. stay as long as you can ...Hey guys I was directed to this thread... I am a life long football and college football fan born and raised in Canada, and I'm heading to Nashville on the 18th of October and plan on driving up to Knoxville for the game on Saturday. Any tips on how to have fun in the area? Any must visit spots?

We always ate at The Time Out Deli, on Kingston Pike, next to where the old Kingston Square theater,
I go to sam and andys quite regularly in Farragut and go roast beef smoked cheddar long dark mustard mayo.
Its what my dad has always gotten and ive never had anything different there. not even a vol burger
sounds like the owner and the chef had a falling out .. I was told that they spent a loooot of $$$ in renovations ... I guess you get to write that off as a loss???i was surprised to see this. it looks like they put a considerable effort into the building.Quote:
