It's great, super simple boolk download in a flash..
Only downside was the only cover I could find with a light was $60.00 bucks.
The Kindle covers with a light are expensive too.

I thought that's what he had. Best Buy had the original nook, cover, light and a warranty for $195. Cover was decent, I needed something with more protection though. Wenger (Swiss army knives) had one with shock proof padding for $30. The nook setup is really nice. I'll prolly get a light soon.

Yea
I found several covers for the Kindle, for between $20 and $30 bucks with no light...you can buy the light seperatly that clips on for another $20.00...

So I just went ahead with the integrated cover and light..

It's actually really well designed....It's an LED light and pulls out through the use of a TAB in the upper right hand corner, and it runs off the Kindle battery from the connections between the Kindle and the cover

Well the cover lasted all of 2 days...
One of the metal clips that attaches the Kindle to the cover, and also establishes the connection for the light to work off the Kindle's battery broke last night.
The top clip broke off into the Kindle. I emailed Amazon, about sending it in to get fixed and they called back today, and instead of repairing this one, they are sending a new Kindle and cover that should arrive by Friday...

I just have to return the broken one in the box the new one is coming in..

Amazon was great to deal with

yah, but it also has more purposes than an E-reader. If you buy an Ipad just for that purpose, you are an idiot. Ive got an Ipad 3g, and it works great for work, and when Im on the john and need something to read, oh hello mr. kindle, nook or ibooks app

I got a Nook Wi-Fi today. I've previously been using my HTC Evo with FBReader to read books. I never even considered asking for one of these. I can't wait for it to get done charging. I also got $45 in B&N gift card. This e-ink sounds a bit fishy, though. Does anyone know if you can import .epub files or other file types (.pdf?) to the Nook?

I got one too!! Tony had it sitting in my desk chair this morning. I wondered why he kept trying to get me to the desk. LOL

Yeah, I thought so. He benefits from it though. :)

Just downloaded my first book! Stephen King's new one Full Dark, No Stars. Love me some Stephen King!!

I'm waiting for mine to finish charging.

Barnes and Noble's servers seem to be under extremely heavy load. *sigh* I just want to play with my new toy! I can't even sign into my account and nothing will download to my Nook. On the plus side, the Nook files are .epub!

ePub is it's primary file type, but it will also read PDF files
