Election Night (or days, or weeks, or whatever) 2022

What happened last night should have been an emphatic correction to the hell this country has been subjected to since Biden was installed to be POTUS. Instead, we have a nation of sheep that likes to be under the thumb of oppressive democratic controlled power. Governed by children that want to act like adults. We want more taxes crime & higher food & gas prices. We are being governed by idiots that idiots vote in to keep us living in hell.

Peaceful national divorce is the best solution or a much diminished Fed Gov't and return to more State sovereign gov't.

I seriously think there were more than a few that that simply saw "slavery", thought that's bad so clearly you should vote "no".
Exactly, the original wording said prohibits slavery just in a different order. This amendment was nothing more than virtue signaling.

What the GOP wants their base to be is irrelevant. Last night proved that they cannot win races by simply turning out their base. The issue is not populism or the GOP establishment. The issue is Trump. Trump is electoral suicide.

Yet Trump turned out more voters in 2020 than any Republican in history. Square that one.

I never feel like I'm winning on election week, but I feel like I'm winning this year. I wanted congress to be deadlocked/leaning GOP, and looks like it will be. I love the message we are sending to the Trump world and Republicans. And the single biggest issue for me was the referendum on our school voucher program in AZ. The teachers union was fighting to overturn the voucher system we just recently passed, and I was so worried. Turns out, it didn't even have enough support to make the ballot, which I didn't know until I filled my ballot out. So awesome!

Michigan is inexplicable. Whitmer's policies and actions during the CV fiasco should have had her on trial. Instead, the battered wives reelect her.

Call them what you want. Moderate voters have completely rejected Trumpism.

"Independents/moderates" overwhelmingly vote for whoever is promising them free chit and that's usually the Dem candidate. They don't vote 3rd party like they should if they were really independents.

Trump turns out the D base. I will agree with that. R’s tolerate him because of his excellent policies. Everything else is terrible.

The Dems in Michigan got abortion on the ballot. Couple that with rather weak Republican candidates and the results are what they are.

Yep, that one baffles me. I know nothing about her opponent but after the way she handled covid you'd think a dead skunk would have beaten her.

They get what the deserve.

Many of those voters showed up to vote against him. Furthermore look at all the conservatives here on VN who are done with him. If he can't rally us then he's done

This is the problem. That's a false dichotomy. The problem isn't MAGA policy. Those issues poll really well. The problem is the MAGA leader.

By the time '24 gets here, DeSantis fatigue will be en vogue. The left will do anything to destroy him just like Trump.

And still got beat by 7,000,000 million votes. That included a bunch of moderate Republicans and Independents who simply would not pull the lever for Trump.
