Election Night (or days, or weeks, or whatever) 2022

Many of those voters showed up to vote against him. Furthermore look at all the conservatives here on VN who are done with him. If he can't rally us then he's done
That's why Desantis, Scott and Haley are emerging. People think they can get a lot of the MAGA policy without the embarrassing rhetoric and baggage.

Trump turns out the D base. I will agree with that. R’s tolerate him because of his excellent policies. Everything else is terrible.

LOL. Their perception of his excellent policies. He gave us fake economic growth through government spending, he gave us protectionism, and inflation. Everybody blames Covid for the bad economy, but we were already on the decline.

And still got beat by 7,000,000 million votes. That included a bunch of moderate Republicans and Independents who simply would not pull the lever for Trump.

And if you run a moderate Republican who the Indies would pull the lever for, you lose a large portion of your working class base. GOP has to decide what they want to be and either way may lead to the same outcome. The GOP was basically dead nationally, after Obama. Trump revived them for a bit but they may be back on their pre-2016 trajectory.

Scott and Haley are "emerging"? They would get trounced by Trump in a Primary. We are really going to relive the 2016 GOP Primary? Act as though Trump didn't absolutely destroy the Kasich, Bush, Rubio, Cruz types? Insanity.

The Republicans had both chambers after 2014. The decline in GOP fortunes began in 2018. To give credit to Trump for revival should require acknowledging that he's done nothing but harm since.

Policy wise he was miles ahead of either of his opponents.
I wouldn't vote for them either. He had a couple of good ideas but most of it was not good. His execution was also terrible along with his explanation

I always enjoy the pretentious who can't stomach Trump's personality and vote for him...even it means letting that absolute scum of society Leftists run your National Gov't.
I literally said I didn't vote for him because of policy. I don't hold the right in much higher regard than the left. Most of both groups of politicians are scum, liars, thieves, etc

I agree but you are just reinforcing my point, Trump didn't loose on policy. You wouldn't have voted for Trump no matter what policies he was campaigning on.

And got their ass kicked in both Presidentials vs Obama. Then got their ass kicked in the Primary vs Trump (saving them from another ass kicking in the Presidential vs Hillary).

That's not true at all. If he would have had any fiscally conservative values I could have

He's just such a poor communicator

Katie Hobbs is holding an 11 point 150,000 vote lead at 52% reporting. I'm not sure of the demographic breakdown among the outstanding precincts, but it's not looking good ...

Now it's just 12k votes with 66% reporting. Wonder if Lake we still be calling it a dishonest election if she wins?

LOL.

If he actually had "excellent" policies, he would have won.

The mission of the MSM the next 2 years will be to destroy DeSantis.
They tried with the plane to Martha's Vineyard.... end result put immigration as platform for him and hypocrisy by the left. They tried with covid and open state, end result he was 3 weeks ahead of the rest of the nation to follow. He has a little of that you better bring the facts if you want to challenge him, if you spin your question to take a jab at him you won't like the result.

His 2016 campaign was about fiscal conservatism (it was BS of course) but that was what he was selling and you still didn't vote for him because you didn't like him. Personality over policy.

I didn't vote for him either because I didn't like him but I'm also not denying my reasons.

Agreed. The R’s are in a definite quandary as to what they want to be. Maybe it’s as simple as running a fiscal conservative/social moderate who isn’t a raving 💩head. That would get me back.

More interesting is if she wins, cleans up elections in Arizona like DeSantis did in Florida and you see a much more GOP heavy State after the corruption is cleaned up. Very likely. Same would happen in PA if the GOP could ever get control.

Anyone saying they are going to eliminate the entire debt is a moron. No, I'm dumb but not dumb enough to fall for that. He's never shown to be a fiscal conservative in his life
