Election Night (or days, or weeks, or whatever) 2022

My final projections:

Senate: Blue 50 Red 50
House: Blue 219 Red 216
We should all hope this doesn't happen. Prepare for 2 more years of misery if this is the outcome. The country does better when the feds can't do anything but fight each other.

Like was said after 2020 Dems have learned and mastered the art of cheating.... It will be a long time before Reps win another election. Dems will always magically "find" the votes they need to win.

I fully concur. Hope I'm wrong.

But, I went thru the 21 remaining House races one-by-one. 11 blue locks, 5 blue leans with only five remaining for the Reds.

I think the blues are outsmarting the reds by making a bunch of their strong holes in California / etc allow four extra days for mail-in votes to arrive. When the ballots arrive from Post Office in big roll around baskets, simply toss in however many pre-post marked ballots are needed to ensure a victory.

The side that votes 'last' should always win.

I agree there's some of that going on. But I really believe this country has way too many idiots voting for even bigger idiots. That goes for both sides too.

Actually the more clear take away is I give the average Democrat voter more credit than you do.

I just don't want us to cling to being the party of anti Trump. If the GOP moved on from him -- and that seems increasingly likely -- then the Dems need to move on too. Otherwise they will make essentially the mirror image same mistake the GOP made, ie overplay that hand.

Horse hockey..it aint about Trump..It is ideology. Biden is as devisive as Trump and certainly his character is awful as well.
The next Repub will just be another Trump.

Yeah good luck with that. But Trump is the whole Democrat agenda

Would be nice to get back to debates over spending, taxation, regulation, deregulation, overregulation, our role in the international community, etc.
That's not what the US govt does anymore. Now it's all about getting a majority so you can investigate people from the other party.

As for the other stuff, the govt will overspend, over tax, over regulate, and likely over involve themselves in the intl community. That won't change regardless of majority.

Pretty sure it wasn't Democrats that decided this week that raising the voting age should be a thing. But please, do go off.

Where did anybody raise the voting age? It's certainly a move that makes sense. If you aren't out of school and making your way in the world, you shouldn't be deciding elections. I definitely think if you aren't paying income tax, you have no business voting.
