The change kicks in only if Trump follows through and ends the federal credit. And if he does, the other makers get the break to compete with Tesla.

This is like when Amazon raised their company minimum wage to $15/hr. They knew ejaculated it would do and how their company would handle it. Warehouses were scrambling to match and keep employees and said they would figure out how to pay for it later. Musk isn't pushing for the end to a credit without knowing exactly what it will do to the competition

Musk wants to sell EVs. Credit or no.

Trump is entirely promised on fossil fuels.

It's inevitable they will clash. Credit or no.

Musk wants to sell more ev and have his competition sell less. He has the president's ear and likely knows how to handle the credit

But if history tells us anything it's that such favored status with Trump eventually turns. Often on a dime.

The other day my son wanted Sonic for dinner. I wasn’t really feeling a burger, and Taco Bell was just next door. So rather than having some epic clash, yelling and ending our relationship, he got Sonic and I got Taco Bell.

LGs mind is blown right now!! Craziness!

If you’ve listened to some interviews Musk has done he knows there is a balance between fossil and renewables, the making of lithium batteries etc. There is only so much lithium, gold, etc on the planet….not saying we’re tapped out just saying until they can get more out of what they have the world running on batteries isn’t going to happen….. ie nuclear maybe. Solar has topped out, you can’t get anymore out of an individual solar panel and there is no more foreseeable “tech” to allow it. We have over 200 years of coal beneath our feet…… we’ll use it, it’s just right now natural gas is cheaper.

If Musk has any hidden agenda it’s space exploration and going to Mars and beyond…… which isn’t a bad idea but that tech isn’t out there yet either.
